Spacious waterfront condos by Myrtle Beach golf courses and attractions

The Barefoot Yacht Club and Resort is a collection of waterfront two-, three- and four-bedroom luxury condos that function as its own private "city," with several recreational and commercial amenities at its disposal. Four professional golfers designed the on-site courses, more than 150 shops enable guests to splurge and 18 restaurants keep visitors fed when they are not using their kitchens. To distinguish itself from other resorts, the Barefoot Yacht Club and Resort goes the extra mile with a weekly fireworks display and dolphin tour.

Highlights
  • Two-, three- and four-bedroom condos on the Intracoastal Waterway
  • Yacht Club Villas have views of Barefoot Landing and Barefoot Marina
  • Shuttle service to the Beachfront Cabana, a shared beach with umbrellas and beach chairs for rent
  • Multiple community amenities, from fireworks to golf courses designed by professional golfers
  • Golf course villas available
Rooms

With more than 24 locations from which to choose, guests of the Barefoot Yacht Club and Resort can be selective about their particular resort and its level of luxury. Built by Centex Homes and Drake Development, the two, three- and four-bedroom condos invite guests to lap in luxury, from the posh Yacht Club Villas boasting views of the Intracoastal Waterway to the Edgewater Resort, an upscale retreat with docks at its front door. Amenities vary depending on the property reserved, but all come with designer furnishings, granite countertops and spacious layouts.

Dining

While all the units are equipped with full kitchens, visitors are not limited to dining at home. In fact, 18 restaurants -- including notable chains like Dick's Last Resort and Johnny Rockets -- enable guests to try a different eatery every night.

Recreation

A master-planned community of this magnitude treats guests to an almanac-sized list of amenities, but recreational activities are a major draw. Practice your swing at the four championship golf courses designed by pros Davis Love III, Greg Norman, P.B. Dye or Tom Fazio or hop aboard the shuttle to the Beachfront Cabana, a community beach with its own snack bar and umbrellas and beach chairs for rent. The 14 area pools invite Barefoot Yacht Club and Resort guests to sunbathe and splash within steps of their vacation condos. On Monday nights, the sky lights up for a showcase of fireworks.

Reservation people totally screwed up!!!

I originally was booked for a 4-bedroom condo and when I checked in they told me i was put in a 2-bedroom by mistake. they had my reservation screwed up and told me it was definiteley their fault and they were fully booked. They tried to fix it by giving me 2 2bedrooms, but they were in 2 different buildings. Which definitley caused complications for the whole trip....

Great Price - Great Location

The only complaint we have is that the key card given to us at registration didn't work and we had to drive back to the Registration Office for a replacement. Not sure what we would have done if this had happened after the Registration Office closes at 9:00 PM

It is a short drive to shopping/dining/entertainment but, too far to walk. We had an excellent price through[...]that more than made up for the small inconvenience.

Everything plush just like the pictures.

This was a family get away for her last spring break. It was quiet and we had a lot of family time. We also played golf.

My review is going to tell everything

Well, when I booked the hotel I was kind of nervous. I reviewed what alot of the customers had said about the resort and service, alot didn't like the resort. Alot of people said they couldn't check in when they got there and had to wait until 3pm. We did however get checked in immediatly. The rep said when its the busy season the maid's have to clean, and rooms might not be ready. I was also nervous about the room. [...] I later found out on the Resorts website that the room I had booked (two queen/ balcony) was not the room in the pictures. [...] We left for Myrtle Beach on Sat. and got to the resort. We went to two different places to get our key. This is would be bad if you've been traveling for a long time, or if you do not have a vehicle. We were told to go to Beach Vacations to get our key. This was just down the road. I talked with Beach Vaca about posting something on [...] to help customers find check-in. They told me that [...] had something and should have posted it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You should also know with check-in you will need a mastercard or visa to be kept on file. We recieved our key and thought it didn't work. But it did. You have to lift UP to open the door, not down (like a regular door). I was told that resorts do not provide Towels, washclothes, and soap. Our room had all of it. Our scenery was BEAUTIFUL! It was easy to travel around north myrtle beach and myrtle beach, I didn't get lost, but I also had a GPS. The resort was great! The room wasn't as the pictures, but it was still nice. I will def. come to this hotel again! PROMISE!NOTE** REMEMBER THIS IS A RESORT NOT A HOTEL, NO MAID SERVICE, OR ROOM SERVICE.NOTE** CONTACT THE RESORT TO GET MORE INFO ON CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES. THEY CAN HELP!

Hotel Great[...]

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at check in! They were awesome. [...] They found us a room, upgraded us to a suite, and went and bought us a gift card since that is what [...] had promised. They were fantastic and the room and view were spectacular! [...]

House of blues is directly across the marina from the resort. We had the best breakfast buffet I have ever had there on Sunday at the Gospel Brunch. There was also live gospel music. It was awesome!

Difficult check in, uninformed.

I arrived at the location to find that the registration desk was closed and nobody would answer the phone. Found a convention center manager who explained that the property had seven different property management companies. This was never explained on [...] confirmation only a phone number with no name of the company. If I had not kept the email confirmation I would not have been able to check in. This needs to be addressed and one company needs to do the property management and have a check in onsite. The room was awesome. Large and furnished elegantly. The location is also great and walking distance to area attractions.

Check in was interesting. I was not satisfied with the original room and we were given a different room upon request. We learned that there are two management companies. Ours was at least a mile away. You will need a car for this location. The room and the bathroom were a good size. There is no maid service, but you can request additional towels (once you figure this out). Our room did not have an iron or iron board, but you can request that one be delivered. You can hear clearly what is going on in the next condo. We did not receive information about the amenities, ie. grill and pool. I was only able to ascertain this when I looked across the inter coastal from a restaurant at Barefoot Landing. Barefoot Landing is great for shopping and eating! You will enjoy yourself more if you have a car. Close to Tanger Outlet. Barefoot is at least a mile from the ocean

Don't rely on the photos

I did not get the room I reserved via the website. My reservations stated Barefoot Yacht Club & Resort. The photos were of the Villas on the waterway, but I was stuck in a condo witht the worst beds ever. We cut our trip short by one day. I will never use Orbitz to book my vacation.
