Great Hotel
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Everything was great. The only negative would be the room's doors. People slammed the doors all day long. It was ok at night. I think the cleaning ladies made far too much noise, but the hotel itself was clean, beds were comfortable, amenities were great. Breakfast was good. I would recommend it to others.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
I went to the East Bay Deli, which was only a short drive away. The food is great there. I am a local, so the waffle house is good and there is a subway, Japanese restaurant in the same shopping center as subway.

Average Stay with some disappointments
I was in the area looking for a place to live, so every morning I would generally hop on I-26 to head into town or wherever I was looking. While the hotel is north of much of Charleston, it was hardly noticed thanks to its close proximity to I-26, but if you lack a POV this location would be a tough one to handle. While it is just about on I-26, you cannot hear it or really notice. Down there road are a number of food options if you get hungry, and if you have leftovers the room has a fridge and microwave. If you do not mind the gripes I list below - the wifi and gym - then this place is not so bad. They follow through on the majority of their advertised services. Each morning I had a USA Today to read and the complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Parking spaces were plentiful and free. The room I had was very spacious, with a couch and desk for working. (This ended up more of rant than I meant, but I definitely left feeling frustrated with these aspects of my stay) My problems with the hotel deal with its amenities and in part something outside of their control - Sprint service is almost non-existent in the area, so Sprint users may want to avoid this service blackhole. Which is where my frustration quickly set in as I felt really isolated - hard for a 21st century IT guy. Their complimentary wifi service was dreadful on the 4th floor; it seemed better when I was on the main floor next to their business center. It was advertised as 2Mbps - which barely stands up to their "High Speed" advertised - but I was barely able to maintain a connection. No big deal, they have a business center, right? Faster connection and running windows 7, but seemed poorly maintained. Expired anti-virus, out-of-date Adobe Reader, etc is just a disaster waiting to happen - PDFs are one of the biggest attack vectors out there for hackers. The printer worked well once I was able to actually find it among a handful of non-functional printer options. My second complaint is with their fitness center. They have a resistance weight machine, a bike, elliptical, and a treadmill - the treadmill was broken and the other equipment worked, but I would not class it as high tech. While using the bike, I had to keep stopping to wave my workout towel to reactivate motion sensor lighting. I got my workout in and I imagine others could too, but it was a bit lackluster in options.

Great!!!!!
The hotel was very clean! The bed was so comfortable!!! The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was great too but could be more organized for effeciency. One of my favorite things was the view from the hotel. The view through the pine trees was nice instead of having to look at parking lots or traffic.
