No Rugs
I was pleasantly pleased that the room had flooring vs. rugs, at first I thought it odd, but actually it made the room feel clean. The bedding was comfortable and the linens were pure white; I slept well. The hotel was only 16 mins. from the airport, that is why I selected the hotel and after our stay I was glad I did.

No surprises
I chose the Red Roof Inn in Charleston because I read awful reviews of a room I hastily booked in Savannah.This is the third Red Roof on this trip,after Cleveland and Nashville,and was not disappointed.Clean,large room,friendly staff,all for rock bottom rate.The only complaint I have is the abence of coffee which would be nice early in the morning without having to leave the room.

When I first arrived, I was worried it was going to be noisey (rooms open to parking lot) but it wasn't. Even with a lot of people coming and going on a Friday night! Room was well appointed with a king bed, desk, flat screen, fridge, and microwave. Bed was comfortable, basic, but after a long day driving and interviewing, I wasn't looking for luxury! Having a fridge in the room is great, too! I was happy to find a non-smoking room in Charleston for under $100! This room was clean and had no smell, and if they allow smoking in other rooms, you can't smell it. I have asthma, so this is a huge issue for me. Front desk staff was so friendly and nice at 1am when I checked in! Centerally located to a lot of resturants.

There is a Walmart up the road which for me was great as my phone charge died and I needed a new one after midnight and you're able to get groceries and keep them in your room fridge.

Good stopover
Rep at the desk was very friendly and helpful during check in. Red Roofs have upgraded in most locations I have stayed at and this one was no different, Stayed in the King room with desk, fridge and microwave and it was very good. Biggest plus for me is the free pet friendly policy! I've started staying at Red Roofs whenever I can as I now travel with my dogs everywhere.

quick n easy trip after 9 hrs driving
I just want a place to crash so I was able to do that with Red Roof and be able to choose one of many dining establishments nearby.

wedding woes
My BF and I went down for a friend's wedding and heard that other hotels had roaches. Sooo... when I found this hotel; it was close to the wedding site and as soon as we opened the door we were hit by a stale awful smell. The room smelled the whole week like the carpet and air conditner filter needed to be replaced. The toliet ran the whole time and I killed bugs that looked/moved like fleas. The matress and night stand were sticky from spilled soda that was never cleaned. The staff was friendly and allow pets but after this trip my BF says I can no longer pick hotels. I would not stay/recommend this hotel.
