Radisson Hotel Charleston Airport

Our first problem occurred when I called to ask the hotel to save a non-smoking room for us (which is what was requested through [...]) since our plane was delayed and our check-in would be very late. The clerk said there were no non-smoking rooms available and they were full. [...] Secondly, since we arrived so late, our rental car company at the airport was closed. My husband tried to catch the shuttle, late the next morning. The shuttle driver couldn't find the keys which more than delayed our vacating our room for the day...so while leaving the room, the "head" roomkeeper yelled at me because she had put in paperwork saying the room didn't need to be cleaned -- something we NEVER said. Both lamps next to the bed were unplugged when we checked in. Roomkeeper didn't replace supplies such as shower cap, toilet paper; safety catch on door was loose and couldn't be tightened. Pool was unavailable for three of four days...just a HORRID experience all around. The staff were downright surly -- so much for HOSPITALITY!

We went for a little getaway. The staff overall was great! We were woken up by the cleaning staff the next morning to the complaning about guest and how they did not want to be there. The beds are the worst we ever slept in. They are sleep number beds however, the box spring or the frame make way to much noise. Every time my husband or I would roll over we would wake eachother up.

Good location for what we wanted. Located about 8 miles from downtown and close to all the beached. It's an older hotel, but was very nice on the inside.

Short visit for local gymnastics event. Noticed the nicely upgraded bath room, granite and new fixtures. We brought 2 small crate trained dogs since the hotel was "pet friendly." The front desk said they'd give us 2 for 1, on the $50 pet deposit. It would have been nice to get the "deposit" back upon checkout as the dogs made no sound and left no trace of being there. All in all a nice visit.

Everyone at the hotel was great!! We really enjoyed how close the hotel was to Downtown...about a 10 minute drive once you jumped on the highway and it was only about 2 exits up to the outlets!

They were most helpful when I had a medication problem. One of the ladies on the staff drove me to the drugstore so I would not have to take a taxi.

Great Hotel for a great price. And the cheapest price I've ever seen at a hotel bar.

He got in late, around 2AM. Had trouble getting a room, even though we had a reservation. The room we got was dirty and looked like it was the hotel staff "break room". The bed was broken, looked like people were laying in the bed.Pillows were laid in, and the AC cover was off.. It's possible that we got a room that is not normal. We took pictures of the mess showed them the next morning. The staff refunded all our money and we went to another hotel.

I went down on business, and decided to stay through the weekend for pleasure. One of the sleepnumber beds was broken, so there was a huge dip in it. The comforters were amazing! One of the lamps did not work, and the in-room hairdryer did not work. The location was good. I did not like the fact that the restaurant/bar had an area that overlooked the pool. It made my wife uncomfortable while she was swimming with my daughter.
