A pleasant surprise

It was absolutely perfect for visiting my son at the Goose Creek Navy school. The room was very pleasant and comfortable and had easy access to the freeway to visit downtown Charleston and the Navy base. Would stay here again.

Great location

Overall, our experience with the hotel was satisfactory. The a/c worked perfect which was great coming out of the humid Charleston air. Everything worked in our hotel room. You may want to consider getting new beds for the rooms. They were NOT comfortable at all. When I laid down, I could fee the individual springs in my back. Oh yea...we also realized that we should not use the toiletries in the room. I noticed a hair in the lotion bottle which told me that it was not a new tube, but that they simply get filled up if the tube has been used.

Better than expected

I was visiting Charleston alone for personal reasons. My stay was definitely better than I thought it would be. My only main complaint about the room is that there were ants in the bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly. While I did encounter some "questionable" characters in the parking lot, I cannot hold the hotel accountable for them. They attempted to keep outsiders (people not staying there) off the premises as best as they could. Also, the hotel was very close to Charleston. Overall, it was definitely worth what I paid.

Quiet, Clean

The front desk clerk was quite security savvy and she helped with all of our "touristy" questions. The room was clean and quiet. The location is perfect to the heart Charleston-not too far, not too close. We lost water, though, for a few hours(hotel was having repairs made)and that made it a delivery night instead of a night on the town as we definately needed a shower before leaving. Oh well, we left things un-done so we can do them on our next trip.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

When going into Charleston, park near the Market or the valet parking at the church in downtown charleston-$8.00 and you've got it made all day/nite. Keep your eyes open for hidden "no parking signs"-the trees are overgrown in some areas and parking tickets are freely given at $45.00/pop!

Great Stay!

This was a great stay for the price. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooom had no remote for the tv but we were given one by the desk clerk when we brought it to their attention. I would book this hotel again.

Business trip

It was clean enough. It seemed like they sprayed something in the room to make it smell fresher but it was not a refreshing smell. The carpet in the room looked old and stains on it. I saw some shady characters hanging around. The continental breakfast was good. Room service was good.
