Hyatt Place Charleston Airport/Convention Center

Great downtown location - walkable to tons of restaurants and shops in the historic district. Hotel lobby was undergoing re-painting while I was there. To offset the inconvenience the management held a happy hour - free wine and finger food. Nice touch. Front desk personnel were helpful when I had questions, extremely polite and knowledgeable. Upon checkout I was charged for the room - which had been pre-paid through this website. I brought it to the desk clerk's attention - she apologized profusely and immediately reversed the charges. Staff were super-friendly and helpful - from the lobby bartender to the valet attendant - all made me feel welcome. Will return here for my next business trip to Charleston.

Staff was extremely helpful and assisted in the small business center printing boarding passes. It might be helpful to have a directional map from hotel to the airport, particularly for those with a very early flight and unfamiliar with the location and directions.Very pleasant stay. Room was extra large and comfortably well arranged for two people.

We flew in from Hawaii and stayed here overnight. It was perfect. The room was great with a separate living room and couch which was awesome to veg out on and watch some TV. The hotel was crowded with a touring summer baseball team which made breakfast a bit crowded. The staff was great with helping out finding the interesting sites and restaurants in Charleston which is a quick 10 minute drive. Just wish they had a hot tub!

Hotel is very service oriented. Free wi-fi, parking and hot breakfast. Loved our room, clean, walk-in shower and a mini refrigerator.

Room was great, clean, comfy and beautifully designed. Location was ideal and included a shuttle to the airport which was much appreciated.

Personal touches and great food made this stay all the better. Room was large enough for my buddy and I to spread out and not cramp one another's style...

We visited Folly Beach, walked through Slave market and ate dinner at the Charleston Crab house. this was an excellent and fun trip. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. the staff was friendly.

I have stayed at many of these types of hotels for conveinence and necessity when visiting my children. Usually they are modest, clean and adequate. The continental breakfast did not begin to compare with those at Marriott or Holiday Inn Express (comparably priced). No eggs or meat, very limited. I was told if I wanted even a waffle (many hotels have the make your own area) I would have to order and pay for it. So I told the woman, "Oh, okay, order me one please". No, she told me pointing at a computer screen and said you order it. So I'm confused, it's 6:30 in the morning, and I look at her and she says you do it yourself--I'm thinking the waffle? Another worker comes over and explains that I need to use my room card to swipe and touch screen order my own waffle. She helps me do this. The room was clean, but glasses weren't washed and replaced, garbage wasn't emptied. Day two in the dining room; there was a "clean cup" with jelly on the inside (I opted for the disposable cup at that point). When the lady at the table next to me got up for a refill, the same "helpful" woman from the day before starts to clear their table of plates with half-eaten food. I tell her politely, "Oh, I don't believe they've finished yet--she's getting a refill right over there." No kidding she looks at me and says, "I can clear it, anyway" and throws all their food away.

Checked into this hotel after leaving a much higher priced hotel a couple of blocks away. The amenities at this hotel are very, very nice, and although I wasn't on business it would be a perfect place to stay while on business. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip to Charleston.
