Homestead Studio Suites - Charleston - Airport - North Charleston

I stayed on the thrid floor (top), Very clean and quiet. The staff has been nice. The refridge has an ice-maker and it had plenty ready when I checked in. The room was clean and cold (ac was on full blast!!! excellant!!!). The hallways were clean. The kitchen is well equiped. My only negative is the TV. It's a tube and regular definition. I'm so used to HD it came as a shock. Free Wi-fi is a little slow.However, I'm here to work anyway. Very close to shopping (WalMart/Sams Club), lot's of places to eat within walking distance (Burger King, Golden Coral) and the tangers mall is just around the corner. The negatives: pool is only 3' deep. Good for a wade I guess. Excercise room: only 2 treadmills and a bike. No weights. Good value for those staying longer term (I'm a contract engineer and will probably stay for at least a month). Overall, very pleased.

this hotel was very cozy just really hard to find. once found was in a great place, the tanger outlets!! the only two bad things was pizza boxes were left in the fridge from the last family, and the internet was really slow, but overall good place!

We needed a place to stay for one night before our 6am flight out of N Charleston, SC. The first room we stayed in was labeled a non-smoking room, but the rooms around us were smoking. The air in our room was so poluted with smoke, that we had trouble breathing. Our shower was broken, and upon reporting it, we were graciously moved to another room since maintenance was gone for the day. The air was slightly better in our next room. The carpet in both rooms were so dirty, the bottom of our socks were black after only a couple of hours. The people above us moved furniture and were up until the wee hours in the morning. I wish I had looked around to find a better hotel for the evening.

My stay was fine. Although the hotel allows smoking in certain sections and I could smell it in the hallway, there was no odor at all in my room. Staff were friendly, the shower (no bathtubs)was great, and the room was comfortable. The bed was on the firm side which is just like home for me. Suggestions for change would be for the hotel to have frozen and refrigerated items to purchase at the front desk (e.g. ice cream, cold water and soda). They had water and soda for purchase sitting on a shelf. There is a huge outdoor mall across the street and tons of other shopping and restaurants close by. Also, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms would be nice. The pool is not open - it's being renovated which did not matter to me but it might matter to others.

There is an upscale outlet mall within walking distance. Sam's Club is but 1/2 mile away. Dining galore. Easy access to all Interstates for a 10 minute drive downtown, 20 minutes to the beach. The Civic Center was across the street and Willie Nelson was in town! Quite the treat! Would definitely recommend for a night, a weekend or a month. We were there for three nights and it was a great stay!

Long-stay motel. The staff said they change the bed seat and cleaning once a week, because lots of residents are staying for more than a week. I asked for the taxi reservation, but next early morning no taxi appeared. I asked another staff working in the morning time to call the taxi, and after all, I got to the airport in time.

The location was what it has going for it. Thats it. The bed was awful. It was so uncomfortable and if you are with your spouse or significant other you best hope they never move in the bed. If they do you are surely awoke. They bed shakes like a bowl of jello. The air conditioner did not work, it was very loud and it was warm in the room. Do not recommend it at any price.
