Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

Room was sufficent for our purpose. Didn't spend much time there. Staff was very nice!

My recommendation would be to print your confirmation and make sure the desk clerk is aware of your room assignment. I booked a Two Bedroom OCEANFRONT Villa and received an Oceanview room. The desk clerk mentioned that when I booked through another company it should have been an oceanview room. It was like I was being punished for booking through another company.

The hotel must be going thru changes. There were no pictures in the room or halls. There was no toilet paper holder, it just hung out on the counter:/. It was not too easy to find ice or a vending machine. The vending machine we found ha d maybe 10 items and way over priced.

The view was awesome for the price. Friendly staff. I would revisit this hotel again

It was okay but the consistent sign up for condos questions became irritating very quickly.

The TV and telephone is not working. I call for somebody fixed, but no body coming.

When we checked in at midnight after flying all day, we found out someone was locked out of their room...turned out the someone was unclothed on the balcony facing the street. It turned out this person was was yelling out to anyone passing by on the street, including us, and wouldn't you know, we were put in a room right next to her. When trying to open the door to the room, you had to put your shoulder into to get it open (incredible), seemed all doors on the 6th floor were like this. due to the new carpet so we were told?? Our stay was OK, it was surprising as it seemed to be advertised as a 3-4 star hotel and to me it clearly was not. I typically do not complain about hotels but even the cleaning staff didn't clear the coffee cups, empty the ice bucket and I left a tipped before we left for the day... This was a last minute trip so was glad to get a reservation but would probably look elsewhere for my next trip.

There were 4 of us in the one bedroom deluxe villa. Upon arrival we were placed in a handicap room which meant that the one bathroom in the room had no door separating the master bedroom from the bathroom. We notified the front desk and were moved to a regular room. Other than that mishap the entire trip was great. The hotel had different activities everyday, all day. My family will definitely be returning to Westgate.

great overall, but felt treated like second class citizens. not sure if it was because we booked through an outside agency or beacause we stayed in the cheapest room. i would only recommend this place because of location and price. nothing else special.

The hotel was in great location. really the only complaint I have was it seemed like every day they was one part or another under construction. pool closed some of the time for construction, outside bar area closed part of the time. Room was clean but outdated needed repairs to be done. we had a good time anyway i think we just happen to be there at the wrong time.
