Value Place

If you are staying here for the beach, expect to drive about 15 minutes, but it is right on route 501 making it easy to access north myrtle beach, myrtle beach, and points south. As far as the room, it was clean but no maid service which isn't a big deal for me. I would definitely stay here again, I didn't mind having a couple hundred bucks extra in my pocket to spend on activies on the trip.

First they did not get our reservations. we did not get the room we requested. cut vacation two days short because of the smoke. father got sick from the reefer smoking every night. loud music playing at night. never again.

I recently went to MB for business and decided to stay here because of budget restraints. Overall, the hotel is clean, very simplistic (expect no thrills), and the staff is friendly. However, it might not be the best place to frequent if you're a young woman traveling alone. Because this is an extended stay hotel, there are many families, young couples, or groups of young people renting out the room as their permanent residence. The clientele is a little mixed and throughout my stay there were tons of parties/music blaring, kids screaming, groups congregating in the parking lot late at night, water balloons being thrown at cars, etc. Moreover, the staff is only available during certain hours. However, if you need a cheap place to stay if you're going on vacation and you're traveling with a group, this would be a good choice if you didn't mind the noise. In summary, best for young people who need to save cash.

We travelled 650 miles only to be told there was no reservation for us and they had no vacancies. We slept in our SUV the first night there and ended up spending twice as much to stay in another hotel. Neither Value Place nor Orbitz was willing to correct this problem. I spent countless hours on the phone with both and got nowhere. I even had Orbitz fax and e-mail the details of the trip to Value Place but that did nothing. I finally gave up on Monday so I could enjoy the rest of my vacation!

For the price the room was very nice and the staff was very helpful. What I will say they could get better pillows. And maybe put a love seat in the room with one bed to make it feel more like home.

We was on Vocation,we spent there a week.We really enjoyed the quiet area.The location was good.[...] was very kind and helpful.

It was not enjoyable at all. They allowed a group of kids ages 5-11 stay in there OWN room above us. Could'nt ever reach the front desk, and when I did, the noise would stop briefly and then continue. I really thought it was illegal for kids that young to have their own room, maybe I'm wrong.

It wasn't walking distance from the beach but it had all the necessary appliance.

The room was merely a regular hotel room with 2 double beds, small bathroom, and full size refridgerator,sink,stove and microwave crammed along the wall where a dresser would normally be. No hotel maid service while I was there, beds were not made, room not vaccuumed, etc. If I needed clean towels I had to take a laundry basket that was provided in my room with the dirty towels in it to the front desk and what ever dirty towels were in the basket was what I was given in return clean of course. Now this hotel is in Myrtle Beach and there is NO POOL!!! On the positive note, it was in driving distances (not walking)to the beach, restaurants, stores, shopping, etc.
