Grand Strand Vacations and Resorts provides the accommodations you want in this popular area of the Grand Strand where golf courses, shopping, entertainment, and restaurants abound. In Myrtle Beach and located just across Shore Drive from the ocean, Shipwatch Pointe is the place to bring your family for their vacation in the heart of the Grand Strand, SC. Boasting the largest pool and sundeck in the area with outdoor whirlpool- as well as an indoor pool- and just a short walk to the beach. The Shipwatch Pointe two-bedroom villas provide a central location to reach the famed Restaurant Row, Apache Pier, shopping outlets, and, of course, many golf courses. Minimum age required at check-in is 25. Please note that pets, motorcycles, and trailers are not allowed. Check-in is located at 9581 Shore Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC at Pelicans Landing. We cannot guarantee a 4pm check-in due to unforeseen circumstances such as excessive cleaning needed and/or maintenance. A cleaning fee of USD 100.00 plus tax will be charged at check-in. Check-in is at 4 pm. Check-out is at 10 am. Office hours are from 8.30 am to 5 pm daily. Minimum age required at check-in is 25. All check-ins are at 9581 Shore Drive. If your arrival will be later than 5pm, please call the office at 888-828-6740 or 843-449-0467 for instructions on how to obtain your unit keys and information. The Shore Drive area of Myrtle Beach is close to all things that make family vacations fun. Convenient to the best shopping, golf, recreation, entertainment, and restaurants, visitors can bask in many choices, as well as the sun and sand.

Beware! Dirty Units, Bad Service!

I reserved a 2 bed room 2 bath but was given a 1 bed 1 bath. The hotel office closes early at 5pm, as I had a late check-in I was stuck with the 1 bed 1 bath the first evening and they didn't switch it out after the mistake was discovered, but they did try to blame [...].The bedding and towels come in a large bag, so you will need to make the bed and put up towels. The fitted bed sheet I received had white bleach stains on it and barely fit the mattress causing it to come off in the night.The units are dated and the balcony was warped and felt unsafe to be on. The carpets were stained in the unit and the pull out bed was covered with food crumbs. Had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with luggage as there was no elevator.Grand Strand Vacations and Resorts should have done something to mitigate the problems with the condo but blew the issue off like it was no big deal.

Long Weekend Get Away

Our stay at Shipwatch Pointe was great. We were only a block away from the beach. The condo was so quiet and relaxing we stayed in the majority of our stay. I guess we have to come back to really enjoy the beach. The condo was so much better than a hotel because noone came in to clean while we were out. We had space to move around and most of all it was equip with just about everything we needed. I did missed a DVD player and a stero for added entertainment, but then again, we probably would not have left the room. Thanks for everything.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

We walk to the beach and there were a comfortable resturant right there on the pier where we had excellent service, reasonable prices, and great food. I give them two thumbs up.
