I was happy with our acccomodations.

We just enjoyed the beach, restaurants and caught up with family while there. The only thing that would have made it better was if the ice machine in our building worked. We had to go to the main building for ice but that was not a big deal. The front desk staff were responsive to requests but only answered the exact question asked, they did not make any extra effort to extend suggestions or offer assistance. Not a deal breaker.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Don't try to eat at the chain or "specialty" restaurants...the lines were unbelievably long and the food was so overpriced. The 2 best places we ate at were Abuelo's Mexican and Mongolian Grille. Both were quick to get seated, the food was fantastic and well priced

R & R couple getaway

The hotel room was very nice, except for the bed mattress, could have been more comfortable, springs were popping when we moved around. Very spacious, liked the fridge and microwave. Would have liked an iron, iron board and full lenght mirror, but not a deal breaker. Within walking distance to shops, amusements, dining and of course, THE OCEAN!!! Next visit we want ocean view...had a wonderful time, will definetly return!!

Great location and excellent price.

Loved the price and location. Rooms were very clean and loved the tiki bar at the pool. Great little restaurant a couple hundred feet north which had live music, great food and drinks. Definately would stay there again. Straight shot right up the road to broadway at the beach and stores.

Review

Rooms were relatively spacious. Bathroom was spacious, and the hotel is very well maintained. Great beach access and several pools to choose from. Very close to Broadway on the Beach and attractions. Great find for my friends and I. They had washers and dryers, vending machines in the lower level which I thought was helpful.

our trip

We got to check in an hour before time, was a very nice room. The beds could have been a little softer but we had fresh clean towels and our room cleaned without asking. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again.

Alright

You get what you pay for. Myrtle Beach is very similar to Panama City in that it is filled with large families and the college crowd. If you are looking for a quiet vacation then this is the wrong place. The hotel was exactly what you would expect from beach tower type hotel in the area, it was serviceable. The staff was friendly at check-in and the cleaning service was happy to give us extra towels. Don't expect to be wowed by the decor in the lobby or anything. There is only one elevator. The pool has a tiny lazy river and a salt-water pool with a nearby pool bar that BLASTS top-40 continuously. Again if you are looking to relax by the pool this is not the place. The beach is packed to the brim with families in most locations so you may want to check out the state park beaches which tend to be way less crowded.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

There is a hole in the wall bar/grill that is a lifeguard secret. $1 bottles of beer and big $2 burgers. 3 of us were stuffed and only spent $10.

Overall very pleasant

This hotel was in a great location. The room was a side-view but still had a decent view of the beach and the ocean. The Restaurant was undergoing some renovation, however, I never saw or heard anyone working in there. We could hear some noise from the neighbors, and some weird sounds from in the room... I would recommend this hotel to most people.

Great room

The room was spacious, a good view of the swimming pool and ocean. The band that played below was like a concert in motion, my room rocked. the hotel was very close to the restaurants and shopping area. You could have a nice walk and to and from the dining places.

love the music at the pool

The sandcastle was okay for a cheap get away. there was no shampoo or conditor in the bathroom the ref did not work well but they came to try and fix it. The bar at the pool played music and a dj on staurday was fun. Parking was tight had to park cross the street and cross the street again but you dont pay for parking. AC in room worked great. Ice machine in are building didn't work had to go to main building but not far.

VERY FRIENDLY

THE SANDCASTLE WAS AVERAGE,THE BATH ROOM WAS VERY SMALL. FOR THE PRICE A STUDIO UNIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE.THE STAFF APPEARED NOT TO BE COMMUNICATING WITH EACH OTHER, 2ND DAY IT WAS TOLD TO ME THAT A SUITE WOULD BE AVAILABLE THE NEXT MORNING BUT AFTER CHECKING WITH DAY CLERK HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT. THE LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD, WE COULD WALK TO MANY ATTRACTIONS WITH NO PROBLEM.ONE MORE THING AN EXERCISE ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT.
