The Much Needed Mother/Daughter Get-A-Way
After having a horrible year of doctors, hospitals & chemo for my Mom, I promised that we would go away for a few days to wherever she wanted to go and she chose Myrtle Beach. The Sandcastle is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Everything was nice & clean. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We swam in the pool, used the lazy river & Mom went into the hot tub (she loved it). We shopped at the outlets, saw 2 shows & the Italian Restaurant next door was wonderful. Lulu's Cafe across the street - is a must. A wonderful place to come back to in the future. Thank you.

Good location /not superbclean/hotel is old/
Good location. There are several good places to eat close by. Hotel is not to clean- very old for USA standards. However hotel is on the beach. We had beautiful view from our room. Shopping in near by-2 miles!

I couldn't have been happier with my stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, I made very good use of the lazy river, pool, and indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi, the staff was friendly and helpful, I really would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to vacation in Myrtle Beach. I'm definitely planning on going again soon!

ROOM NOT AS DECRIBED ON LINE
THERE WAS A GOOD VIEW TO OCEAN AND ROOM WAS OK BUT NOTHING SPECIAL. NO HAIR DRYER NO IRON OR IROINING BOARD AS WAS IN THE WRITE UP. THE ROOM HAD A COFFEE MAKER BUT NO COFFEE. I HAVE STAYED IN LOTS OF MOTELS/HOTELS OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS A FIRST. ONE OF THE PLASTIC CHAIRS WAS BROKEN AND THE TWO DID NOT MATCH. THE TUB FLOOR FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO FALL OUT. THE WOOD AROUND THE SINK WAS BROKEN AND STICKING OUT.

Great for the price
The hotel was very nice. When staying on the seventh floor your water pressure is very bad. This was to be a non-smoking hotel but as soon as we walked off the elevator all we could smell was smoke. It took a few hours for the smell to get out of the hallway. We did not smell it often after that first day. Other than that it was a very nice hotel. Location was in walking distance of so many things. We will stay here again.
