Great location , fair price

Our efficiency room had a great beach-front location overlooking the pool (and the beach). The hotel was located right on the public beach and within walking distance to the downtown Myrtle Beach attractions. Unfortunately our room was located on the first floor and there was constant noise from guests coming and going all hours of the night. The hotel's two ice machines are also located on the first floor, in the hall and quests without efficiency rooms were filling ice coolers all night and into the morning. I would suggest anyone booking a room here to request a room on any floor other than the first. The hotel staff was friendly. The rooms are a little dated , but the location more than made up for it. Lastly the hotel has ample parking , but some of the parking lots and a two story garage are located across the street. It didn't matter to me , but I'm mentioning it because your car might be parked a block away from the hotel.

I was happy with our acccomodations.

We just enjoyed the beach, restaurants and caught up with family while there. The only thing that would have made it better was if the ice machine in our building worked. We had to go to the main building for ice but that was not a big deal. The front desk staff were responsive to requests but only answered the exact question asked, they did not make any extra effort to extend suggestions or offer assistance. Not a deal breaker.

Don't try to eat at the chain or "specialty" restaurants...the lines were unbelievably long and the food was so overpriced. The 2 best places we ate at were Abuelo's Mexican and Mongolian Grille. Both were quick to get seated, the food was fantastic and well priced

Family Getaway

It would have been better if the cable TV would have list of TV stations we were watching and/or have a TV Guide channel. It was very difficult to find what channel was what w/o any TV listing. Also there was NO Wi-Fi in the hotel room. One had to go to the lobby to access internet. Also there was only one Elevator in the entire building therefore making it extremly difficult to get on/off elevator.

Lots of ice cream parlors and diners within walking distance. Plus the hotel has a resturant inside.
