An ok place to stay on a budget

The room was ok for the price. The lazy river and pool were so crowded that you couldnt get in. The indoor pool was the smallest I have ever seen and was only 5 feet deep.

Not what we reserved

First off our room wasn't what we reserved . We asked for smoking and two queen size beds. We got non-smoking and two regular beds. The room was small and noisie. You could hear the people fighting two rooms over. The cleaning staff left dirty laundry laying in the hallall day,you had to wak around it. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone at the price thy charge. I went down to the resturant to get coffee,I found the door locked . Iwent outside to the front door after waiting about 5 minuates no one came out so I left.

Great Charleston Vacation!

Absolutely the WORST!!!

Avoid this hotel at all cost! From the rude checkin staff to the smelly damp cigarette odor room. We made reservations to stay here in a non-smoking room. We arrived at checkin and were greeted by a little old man from behind the counter yelling at us to move our car out of the way while the other checkin man was trying to check us in. I told him to look outside that 3 cars in front of us had us blocked in and 3 others were behind us and we couldn't move our car until they moved. He continued to loudly go on about moving our car to which I told him I would as soon as the other cars ahead moved and I was told where I was to park. You will be shown where to park alright, across the street 2 blocks over in a parking garage. Very strong odor of cigarettes are in the elevators. We made a dash for our room from the elevator to avoid this and we were not happy to find that our NON smoking room stunk like cigar/cigarette mixed with ashtrays in the room. We called the frontdesk staff and were told to come downstairs, where we were told this was the only oceanfront room like we booked and it would be the one we would take or we could stay in a room they had across the street[...]

You don't want to stay here !!!!

We arrived in the late afternoon and joined the long line of parked cars of people checking in.When it was our turn to finally check-in which took about 20 minutes my wife asked the lady standing in line behind us if the SUV behind our car was hers which she confirmed. Well this conversation was overheard by one of the receptionists who rudly demanded that I move my car because it was blocking other guests. I told him that I will a. move as soon as I have checked in, b. that I parked my car right behind other guests checking in and c. the car behind me was checking in too. He made some rude comments like "we don't like you parking like this here" and "you have to move the car right now". By this time it was my turn to check in with another receptionist so I pretty much ignored the 'orders'.I finished the check in, unloaded my luggage and while I parked my car my wife went up to the room with the lugagge. After I parked the car and went up the elevator I noticed the smell of cigars. When the elevator doors opened on the floor my room was I felt like I couldn't breath. The smell of nicotine and the high humidity was unbearable. The room was even worse. It smelled like the last guest was a chain smoker of cigars. Well did I mention that I booked a non-smoking room?[...]

great room and price :)

This hotel was in the perfect location. Its a short walk to the boardwalk, right on the ocean, and about 8 minutes to broadway at the beach. We were very pleased with rooms and the staff was very nice. Also loved the little cabana at the pool, the bartenders there were great ! I will definitely be staying there again.

A bad choice. should be better!

The location is good and enjoyable, but the carpet in the roon was a disaster since it was full of water next to the AC, and we had to sleep 2 nigts in that wet and stinky environment, untill they move us to another room. In the other room everything was comfortable. For some reason I had to extend one more night and their fee was extremously exagerated in relation with the fee I paid online. The houskeeper are excellente and very friendly. the front desk are good too. Pools are okey including the bar.

Not impressed

Registration staff unfriendly. Not enough parking for check in, had to park two streets over in parking deck and bring luggage from there. Beds extremely uncomfortable, water pressure very weak. Very small room and bathroom area. TV did not work very well, sound not good. This place is called a resort. I expect more from a resort. Our little room had a tiny balcony located directly over the grease pit from the kitchen and directly below a large air conditioning unit, which dripped onto our balcony. Both days we tried to use the indoor pool and hot tub, it was like a large family had taken over the whole indoor area, and was very loud with their music and drinking, and you could not sit in the hot tub without getting squirt with one of their water guns. Will not be choosing this place again.
