Family favorite in the heart of Myrtle Beach
The Patricia Grand Resort Hotel is a beachfront hotel tailor made for extended-stay vacationers, particularly families and guests whose agenda calls for teeing off in the area's 100-plus golf courses. Palm-tree lined grounds and roomy balconies create a tropical feel furthered by the large oceanfront pool and lazy river. In addition to being pet friendly, the hotel tantalizes with another incentive: children under 18 stay free with their parents.

Watch the Cancellation Policy
I made reservations for two nights for each of two company employees to attend a function that was being held in the hotel. Unfortunately the host decided that our company did not need to be represented. When we cancelled the rooms (a month in advance), the hotel refused to reimburse the reservation fee citing their policy. They said that they would have reimbursed had we taken a $32.00 travel insurance policy through the hotel. Doesn't seem like a means of getting great reviews.

Fantastic family getaway
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the ocean front efficiency unit. Stove was a little shabby looking but still functional. Full size kitchen with microwave and coffee pot, but no dishwasher...not a problem for me but might be for a family trip. Parking is across street in very "tight" garage...only disappointment, but still OK.

Unbeatable location for the price
I was there for a woman's convention. The hotel was in the perfect location. My stay was very enjoyable.

Nice Hotel for not a Bad Price

Rough around the edges
Used most of the facilities. Fitness room was pitiful. Four machines stuck in a room above indoor pool. Room was dated and needs renovation. Shower could best be described as a trickle. Elevators were slow and hard to get. Staff were extremely nice and efficient. Made up for a lot of shortfalls.

Loved the view
We had a wonderful time in Myrtle Beach. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very reasonable and the food was good. However, the hotel was much older than I expected. They are in the process of renovatiing, hopefully it will be completed this year.
