Patricia Grand Resort Hotel

The front desk staff was pleasant and the lobby was nice--but that's where it ended. The room had not been vacuumed from the previous guests and the dishes in the cabinet were dirty with food from previous guests. When we specifically requested the room to be vacuumed it was, but only in the entryway--no where else was cleaned. We would never recommend this hotel to our friends nor would we stay at the Patricia Grand.

We had to wait and hour and a half for our room. Then we woke up the next morning covered in bed bug bites. We waited over an hour for house keeping to come . Then the room they moved us to.. the phone didn't work and the shower didn't drain. 3 phone calls a 4 hr wait and trip to the managers office is what it took for someone to come fix our room. And even then it wasn't updated like our first room. I have stayed at $30 a night rooms that were cleaner and nicer than this $200 a night room.

This was our third stay at this hotel.It has totally gone down hill.I decided to upgrade our room before our trip not only was I on the phone for an hour,but the upgraded room was dirty,70's style furniture,a broken stove, dead bugs smeared on kitchen wall,and an airconditioner that sounded like a 747. So we downgraded to a oceanfront efficiency.It was a better room but the pillows were hard,the airconditioner in this room didn't put out cold air.We called the next day and they did fix it.Everyday there was something missing in the housekeeping department,either n wash clothes or no toilet paper.There rooms were never dusted and the cabinets in both rooms didn't match These so called up graded rooms were just thrown together.I'm not a complainer but don't waste your time and money on this hotel.The pools are dirty and don't let this hotel ruin your time at Mrytle Beach.

When we got to the motel it was check in time exactly 4pm. There were only two people on the front desk and they were working as fast as they could. It took us 55 min from the time we got in line until we got to talk to the clerk. When we got to the room(an ocean front room) it was very small. The balcony was angled and actually facing the balcony of the room dircetly opposite ours. If you set at an angle you could see the ocean from the corner of the balcony. I have had ocean view rooms that I could see more of the ocean. There was no privacy at all on the balcony and the room dirctly opposit us could see in our room if the drapes were not closed.

The elevators were very slow and in need of attention to cleanliness. The in house restaurant was closed for renovation. The bathroom was small and the only decent light came from the heat lamp. I do not enjoy being baked in order to put on makeup. The closet door was extremely difficult to open and the closet itself was limited. The in room safe was locked and required a maintenance visit in order to utilize it. Made me wonder just how much attention is paid to the rooms between guests.

We've visited many hotels in Myrtle Beach. Our bed was very uncomfortable, causing a backache in the morning. This hotel was very family friendly, and therefore sometimes too noisy. There was a group staying above us that was sometimes out of control in the pool area and hallways. At one point some trash was found in the outdoor pool.

This hotel was not the best I have stayed in. We stayed in a standard room with a king bed. The location was good, and we were right on the beach. The thing about this hotel is that it needs some major renovations. I am very glad we were only there for three nights and not the whole week we were at Myrtle Beach.

i was very upset with the room size i felt like the whole timed i was crammed inside. i did like the outside pool it was very nice and there is a bar out there for you which was nice. i feel if i wasnt being ripped off for my room the stay there plobably would of been better.

My TV had not on/off button. the remote control was not working; in the bathroom we had a running toilette. There were no towels in the pool.

There was only 1 chair around the pool, all the rest were chaises. Ineed a chair and it was always taken. The spas were full of little kids. The restaurant had very poor service, we waited 1 hour for our breakfast one morning and at least 1/2 hour everyother time. However the food was good as it always was. The hotel was supposed to be remodeled and the same old dirty kitchen cabinets were still there. Everything else was half assed. They got new furniture and that didn't include a dresser. There was no chair in the room for viewing tv. There was a tiny table with 2 chairs for evening coffee. It had 1 spoon which we shared. My husband complained about my need for a chair at the pool and was told there was nothing they could do. /we won't be returning there ever.
