Patricia Grand Resort Hotel

The Patricia Grand had a very friendly staff. The room was very clean and the room staff did an excellent job cleaning every day. We ate one dinner in the hotel restaurant, and though the service was good, the dining room appearance and food quality was below average. The pool areas of the hotel were not as well kept as they were on my previous visit several years ago. Also, the hall areas were very worn and in need of updates and the elevators were very slow. The parking garage was right across the street, but the parking spaces were very narrow and hard to get into with anything more than a compact car. The best thing about the Patricia Grand is its location. It's right on the beach and easy to get to other major locations in the area.

i was very upset with the room size i felt like the whole timed i was crammed inside. i did like the outside pool it was very nice and there is a bar out there for you which was nice. i feel if i wasnt being ripped off for my room the stay there plobably would of been better.

There was only 1 chair around the pool, all the rest were chaises. Ineed a chair and it was always taken. The spas were full of little kids. The restaurant had very poor service, we waited 1 hour for our breakfast one morning and at least 1/2 hour everyother time. However the food was good as it always was. The hotel was supposed to be remodeled and the same old dirty kitchen cabinets were still there. Everything else was half assed. They got new furniture and that didn't include a dresser. There was no chair in the room for viewing tv. There was a tiny table with 2 chairs for evening coffee. It had 1 spoon which we shared. My husband complained about my need for a chair at the pool and was told there was nothing they could do. /we won't be returning there ever.

We were treated like the most important people in the world. The room was alittle dated but still very nice. The service was exceptional.

Clerk at check in was rude. Wireless Internet is only available on the 1st or 2nd floors thus you have to get dressed and go sit in a lounge on the second floor to get online. The Lazy river is indoors and extremely small and humidity is smothering while in that area. The smoke alarm or Carbon monoxide detector woke us up 4 or 5 times the first 2 nights. Maintenance finally replaced the unit after replacing the batteries twice and numerous calls to the front desk. The closet next to the bathroom and front entry had a door that was broken and made getting in or out of the room with anything in your hands totally aggrevating. There are no service elevators so when the maid service is doing their jobs sometimes the elevators would be stopped on a floor for 15 minutes with laundry keeping the door open so the maids would not have to wait..just everyone else. I would rate this place as the absolute worst place I have ever stayed while at Myrtle Beach.

Kitchen not furnished properly, 1 cup, no serving bowls etc, facing on cupboards falling off or missing, some electrical outlets not working, remote for tv was missing till we found it under night stand, all staff were very nice. No towels for beach, elevator's over crowded, spent a lot of time waiting for them, nice view off balcony.

Parking across street, no staff help had to haul luggage from garage to 10th floor. Room way too small for four with one bath.Electronic keys a problem entire stay, I had to make daily trips to have them re-programed. Dishes in room dirty I had to clean them. Had to ask for towels on a regular basis. Hotel staff had no idea what they were doing, no MOD to be found when asked for. For the price of the room and the services I received very poor.

The Patricia Grand was not very grand! The elevators never worked and the balcony's were very dangerous for children. The indoor pool was gross! The chlorine smell knocked you over and the cloudy pool water made you think you were swimming in pee! We also had to do a fire drill at 4pm in the afternoon down 17 flights of stairs for no reason! The only good thing about the hotel is the snack bar and outdoor pool. Also, the beach area was nice. Spend a little more money and stay at a nicer place!!

The Patricia Grand was a good place to stay for a quick weekend trip. The location was good. The rooms were standard. The elevators were very slow and broke half the time. They were also used by the cleaning staff and I had to ride up 15 floors with a load of garbage.

The hotel room was small but clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool, hot tubs in and out, a pool side bar, plenty of patio chairs and the beach is right there. We could here the waves with our patio door open on the 14th floor. The view was great, overlooking the beach and the ocean. An oceanview room is a MUST. We didn't have a car but had plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking. Broadway is fantastic for shopping, eating and activities for all ages. It is about a twenty minute walk each way. On the downside you have to go two blocks away to get coffee before 7 am. What is up with that? They need new pillows. We very much enjoyed it.
