Palmetto Shores Oceanfront Hotel

We arrived to PSOH, the pictur that you are seeing is the sister building Atlantica, so the amenities are actually in a different building. To be honest our room was dirty, there was an old cup of cigarette buts let on the balcony. The elevator is up a 5 step walk up. Internet is not available in the 1st buiding we were put in, and the 2nd building had occasional reception. We then went to Atlantica to use the internet, we were also told by the Receptionist that we did not have access to the lazy pool, but then found out late we could. I put 2 small coachroaches out, and then went to talk to the manager. He was great, good guy and went out of his way to move us, and give us a partial ocean front efficiency. It was a huge upgrade, clean and 100% better. with your booking you will get free buffet breakfast, you are right on the beach. I am happy for the change, but would nnot book here again. Staff was excellent. They had to remove a man with Police assistance, and the man below me and myself had to call in for a domestic disput that took place on the balcony for all to hear. Shop around or get into Atlantica.

The room was old and dated, but for the cost of $33/night right on the beach I guess you cannot complain. The internet access was terrible and the staff didn't know what to do. The hallway and elevators smelled of paint or urothaine (bad).

The staff were friendly. The advertisement says they have Free Wi-Fi, they don't have Wi-Fi. I was disappointed, becuase I had work to do and I couldn't get anything done. The room was cold and the heat wasn't working properly. I asked to be moved; however when they got in contact with me later that night I was already asleep. Again, the staff was friendly and the location is great. That's the only good thing that I can say about this hotel.

Overall hotel was very clean, but was nothing like described online neither did the pics match up... Very small

Great Deal, great location, and I got exactly what I expected from this property. The room was ok, not the best, but for the price I can't complain. The staff were helpful, but I felt they did not really go out of the way to make me feel like my business mattered to them. Two nights of our stay were fine, but the last night, we were awakened by noise coming from the floor above us. I gave the guests from above 30 minutes to calm down before I called the front desk. I then waited for 30 more minutes, and when the noise had not abated, I went down to the front desk in the middle of the night to complain again. At that point no one had even checked on the situation. FInally after two hours, I was able to get back to sleep around 4 in the morning. I would have given the property 4 stars if not for the handling of this situation. Also, when I checked out, I was not even asked how my stay was. I am big on customer service, and this property really needs to practice their skills in this area. Coffee in the room, wi-fi in the rooms, and better clarified parking would be a plus.

Its okay for the price but it needs new house keeper inspection. i mean theres hair everywhere in the bathroom when i checked in the first room they left someones boxer short on the bathroom and when we changed the room to the second one the little used towel were left at the bathtube. no pilloow cases at all. i dont know how they passed the inspection, hey go ahead and get the nice hotel for 40 - 50$ more and i think u wouldnt have to see such ragady things.

The location of this hotel is terrific! Don't be fooled By the photo on the website, that's the hotel next Door. This place was clean but there is no fluff here. The staff was very nice and accommodating but if You want luxury, this is not the place.

To start off the staff was rude. When it came to the room the kitchen had leftover food in the sink and the bedding smelled like it was never changed. If it wasnt for the location we would of left.

The first thing I noticed when I pulled up to the hotel is that it looks nothing like the picture. The picture on the website is actually a picture of the hotel next door called Atlantica which Palmetto manages. Palmetto Shores is old looking and has three buildings and they all look the same. I stayed in the Coral building which is bout 5 stories high. There were roaches crawling on door fixtures and in the hallways but thankfully they weren't in my room. My refridgerator had water dripping in it from the freezer defrosting which got all over the floor. There was a coffee maker with no coffee. The kitchen sink was stopped up. The tub was not clean when me and my wife checked in. Both the front door and balcony door had wide cracks along the side where u could see outside and into the hallway. There was scratched off paint on the headboard and no phonebook. Our second day housekeeping cleaned the room and didn't bring fresh towels or rags. They emptied the trash but didn't put bags in them. I had to use the bathroom to do a #2 and didn't have toilet tissue. It took my wife 15 minutes to get in touch with someone at the front desk and another 30 minutes for someone to bring tissue. The third day noone even bothered to clean the room. Noone checked the room or even knocked on the door. I was very unsatisfied with the quality and service but yet there is a lot of s taff because they stand in big groups outside on the sidewalk doing nothing but smoking and talking. If it wasn't for me having a oceanfront view I would've went else where. I will never go back to this hotel. idewalk by the blvd doing nothing but smoking and talki ng.

It's perfect to walk on the boardwalk beach. There is no hot tub indoor/outdoor. No breakfast included. No Wifi/no internet network also. There is some mold in the bathroom. Some dirty on the wall. They need remodel. There is some brown strain under the refrigerate. There is one missing drawer. Carpet and patio are clean! Good news is no bedbugs on the beds! A/C is perfect working! Perfect viewing oceanfront.
