Palmetto Shores Oceanfront Hotel

The hotel is nothing we booked it was the picture of the hotel next to us. So I called the hotel I got to the hotel at and 9 am didn't get booked till 7 pm this hotel had no staff and the managers were no where to be found. after a long day of being in the parkinglot from a ten and half hour trip was not what I was expecting then finally after arguing with the managers at the hotel they finally got me booked into the condo next to it which was what we wanted to begin with. If they take your number and tell you that they would call you back, just forget they even said anything

Good location. Free parrking. Fast moving elevators. Clean pools.

staff and room cleaning girls were great.one night we came back to hotel and could not find a parking space and one of the front desk guys walked out to show me were to park.WOW dont take the free breakfast offer from this hotel too lightly.we did not use it until half way thu the stay.breakfast is a free buffet every day.its great so are the workers.its across the street called the patio.peir fishing 5 hotles away also 10 hotels away is board walk

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were not very nice. We were instrusted to walk to the next building. What was not told to us was that the elevator was up a flight of stairs and 2ft by 2ft. We walked in the room and immedietly I was hesitant to stay. The room was too small and their were stains on the floor. I kept telling myself that this would only be for one night. I decided to pull back the sheets and found hairs and stains. We grabbed everything in one trip and ran out of that hotel. I called the hotel and told them that the room was degusting and that we will not be staying there. Oh, and not to mention that the maids were sitting on the floor in the hallway just chatting. Ugh most disgusting place ever. Oh and that picture is of the hotel next door.

i will never use orbtiz again.but i let stay at the hotel again.

The location of this hotel was perfect for what i went on vacation to do. It was in a great location, walking distance from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The building was not in the greatest condition and was worn down and the rooms needed some work. This didn't bother me that much as I was pretty much in the room just to sleep and was out pretty much all day when i was there.

The front desk staff were nice. The ocean was perfect. The room didn't have a toilet paper holder. They didn't come and clean our room or exchange towels. There was a very dirty coffee maker and no coffee. There was so much noise from the young people and racing / showing off on Ocean Dr. that you couldn't get to sleep until after 2am. There was a lot of door slamming. The walls are so thin that it sounded like the elevator was coming through our room. I don't think that the noise is just this hotel. I think it any where at the south end of Ocean Dr in the summer. I will stay further north next time.

It was just a regular stay, nothing special about this hotel. You get what you pay for, and cheap is what I wanted, so in all, it was perfect.

Upon arrival staff at the hotel told me they did not have my record of my reservation and that I had to call my third party booking agent to get it straight. While on the phone the third party booking agent, the hotel staff told me that they found my reservation in their stack of emails (they offered no apologies, seemed unconcerned). The room was not vaccuumed, cigarette holes in the bedspreads, the chairs on the patio were filty with dirt, the complimentary breakfast that was suppose to be on a hot bar was cold. Too much money for the poor service

It was a fun trip and for it to just be a place for us to stay at night it met our needs. We would go again.
