Palmetto Shores Oceanfront Hotel

I had requested a smoking room upon bookin & there weren't any when we checked in. The room was dirty with dead insects in tub and the comforters smelled. you have to park across the street & the parking area is quite sketchy. Lock your doors.

This was by far the worse trip and hotel I've ever stayed in at Myrtle Beach. The staff was great, but when I walked in to the room, nothing like the pictures. There were roaches in the kitchen and the restroom. When you turn on the shower, the bath water is still running causing the tub to fill up while you shower. Then I was awakened but a spider crawling on the covers near my face. NEVER AGAIN!

Checked into the hotel and turned down the bed and it was filled with hair, dirt and bugs. Went into the bathroom and it was not clean. The carpet was old and the whole place was dated. I have never been so disgusted and had to leave within minutes. I rely on other reviews and honestly could not have been more misled by other reviews from the site. DO NOT GO HERE!

I stayed in the Ocean Building. The room was very very small, barely accomodates 2 people. Have to walk up flight of stairs to actually get to the elevator. Ocean building is separate from building with lobby thus we had to walk through rain to get to our building. Building is certainly not what is pictured in photo - this building had only 4 floors. Very old and dated room - pain peeling off walls etc. First night there bathroom clogged up had to call technician who came with tools (long wire to unplug drain) and pulled out a big set of hair GROSS!!! Could not wait to get out. For over seventy dollars a night this was unaccpetable.

Pool and beach area seemed ok/clean but the guest rooms were worn and dirty. Random hairs in carpet that stuck to our feet, cock roaches in our room, entry door and door to balcony did not shut properly, entry door and door knob was damaged and looked as if someone had broken into it. No internet in guest rooms - internet only in main building with condos. People at the front desk were slow.

The rooms were clean but that is about the only good thing i can say about this place, it wasn't at all what i was expecting from the website. The pools were small and only 1 indoor pool and the pools outside were lacking, only 3 small pools. Overall i would not stay here again and i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else either.

Check in was two hours late, tub was not clean and was chipping, crumbs on the floor near the bed when checked in, breadfast in cafe was cold and stale,not enough effort put into cleaning and restocking, Best part of the hotel was the check out!! Never again.

The pictures posted are of the hotel next door. The Atlantica. Seems nice. I wish I had stayed there. The Palmetto Shores kind of a dump. The elevator is an accident waiting to happen. The stove in the room had old food crusted on it. There was no free wifi like next door. No lazy river pool area. No free breakfast. It was very disappointing. However, if you don't mind any of those things it's pretty close to the boardwalk and the price is pretty cheap.

The room was not clean daily , the beds feel like you are on a bed of rocks and the stuff was acting like they were too to be there.

The hotel is nothing we booked it was the picture of the hotel next to us. So I called the hotel I got to the hotel at and 9 am didn't get booked till 7 pm this hotel had no staff and the managers were no where to be found. after a long day of being in the parkinglot from a ten and half hour trip was not what I was expecting then finally after arguing with the managers at the hotel they finally got me booked into the condo next to it which was what we wanted to begin with. If they take your number and tell you that they would call you back, just forget they even said anything
