Room originally given smelled like a pack of cigarettes, which I'm allergic to. Room was changed dead roaches around kitchen/ bathroom area, toilet tissue ran out- no extra left in room. Had to pay additional money when I got there.

Traveling for work.
I was traveling for work and booked this room for $35... which is a great price for where I needed to be. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in and got my room key. I had to carry my luggage up four flights of stairs only to discover that the room was locked from the inside when i got up there. I carried everything back down to the lobby and explained the situation. The clerk looked at me like I wasn't telling the truth , then got me another key. When I got into the room, it was dirty. There were no bugs, but there was a musty smell. There were no towels and half-used toiletries in the bathroom. I requested more towels and a housekeeper came up and handed me a bag of assorted towels. There was no Wi-Fi in the room and there were loud people all over the place. There was also no desk in the room and all of 20 channels to choose from on the television. I was extremely disappointed. The place doesn't deserve 2.9 stars and I don't know how that happened. If I had known what a mess it would be, I would have never booked there.

Enjoyable Time
we had a wonderful time.. from the time we arrived until we checked out. the staff was very polite and friendly. very accomidating, room was very clean and had a wonderful OF room. The complimentary breakfast buffet each day was very yummy and the resturant was clean and inviting. the maintaince staff were very friendly to chat with and patrol the grounds very well. We would highly reccommend Palmetto Shores to others. and we look forward to staying here again, I can say that the only issue we had a problem with was the fact that WIFI is advertised, but we found once checked in that you can only access WIFI from the Atlantica Building in the downstairs area, You do not have WIFI from your room or any other area of the hotel othen then in tha Atlantica building. Ths information needs to be made known to future guests so that they do not bring laptops needlessly.
