Palmetto Shores Oceanfront Hotel

We had an easy checkin, friendly staff and our room was immaculate! The only thing missing was coffee for our coffee maker. Our night was great and there was even a free shuttle bus to Broadway at the Beach. It stopped right in front of our hotel. Thank you so much and we will be returning.

It's perfect to walk on the boardwalk beach. There is no hot tub indoor/outdoor. No breakfast included. No Wifi/no internet network also. There is some mold in the bathroom. Some dirty on the wall. They need remodel. There is some brown strain under the refrigerate. There is one missing drawer. Carpet and patio are clean! Good news is no bedbugs on the beds! A/C is perfect working! Perfect viewing oceanfront.

The pools, beach access and location and price were great. The room was dirty when we arrive late at night. It had not been cleaned and not any towels. The staff responded quickly remove the comforters and providing fresh blankets and linens. The next day we left the room and it was cleaned but the linens were not changed. The 3rd day the room was not cleaned again and the wet linens were not picked up either, We did not get any fresh towels or toilet paper. I had to call twice to get the toilet paper and towels. The rooms are smaller than I expected and so was the bathroom. We made it work but probably will not pick this hotel again.

The staff at the hotel were excellent, I have no complaints about them. The complaints I have are about the hole in the carpet, hole in the bathroom door, mold in the tub, hairs on the towels and hair underneath one of the pillows on the bed.

Overall this hotel did the job at a reasonable cost. The rooms were clean and the amenities were up to par, I only had two major problems: They advertise free wifi which wasn't working. The first day I asked about it the guy at the front desk told me that someone was coming to fix it "tomorrow." The next day when I asked the lady said that it hasn't been working for months and they don't know when it will be again... so which is it? Also, there was no shortage of staff working the front desk but I would say over half of the times I called the front desk, no one answered the phone. When I went down to the front desk a few times, after unanswered phone calls, it wasn't even busy. I also had some unanswered phone calls when I was booking this reservation and calling with questions. It's a clean and decent place to stay, three different types of pools for kids that you can use, etc. Just don't call the front desk.

Went to check in after I got off from work (traveling pharmacist) and everything went smoothly. Went up to the room and the elevator was out, so walked up 4 flights of stairs carrying bags ect (hallways were not air conditioned). Room was filthy and not ready for check in, cleaning supplies were present, towels on floor, trash on tables, sink full of dishes. I went back to tell the guy at registration the room was not clean, he politely apologized and sent someone up to clean the room. I grabbed some dinner and went back to the room (2 hours later) and the lady was still cleaning the room. I waited another our waiting and when they finished she let me know the toilet was not in service. I went back to the desk and was going to check out, the manager "upgraded" me to another room. I will not be going back, the rooms were very dated and didnt feel very safe. The latch on my room door was broken, and it looked like it had at some point been broken in. Definitely not worth the $100!!! Ill stay somewhere else next time in Myrtle Beach!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

The hotel is older, but the staff is nice enough. When we checked in we were in a less desired room so we spoke with manager and he ppgraded us to a water front room with a kitchenette and only charged us for the upgrade price for the second night.The kidsloved the multiple pools and the location.

Had a great time. Just me and my "rib" donor! We spent very little time at the Palmetto. This resort was close to so many other thigs that it allowed us to be out and about most of time. We both really enjoyed ourselves.

The room was not clean daily , the beds feel like you are on a bed of rocks and the stuff was acting like they were too to be there.

Everything is great!!! Staff is awesome. great customer service. very clean room with safe environment. Specially a manager Mr. Amos is the best. he knows how to please a customer that's called a great customer service. from now on that's the only hotel i will stay..... i don't know why people saying bad about this hotel. Believe me and try one time you will not disappointed. clean ,safe, friendly staff and very good price what else we want. The best hotel in myrtle beach, this hotel should rank #1 hotel in myrtle beach. VERY VERY comfortable hotel specially staff is great including manager Mr.Amos. We enjoyed our vacation.....
