Ocean Reef Resort

The hotel was very nice and the room was clean. Our room was oceanfront on the 8th floor and I especially liked that the balcony area was very safe for my daughter. There was a concrete wall versus the normal bars. The onsite restaurant was reasonably priced and convienent for breakfast, but would have been nice if they served supper. There was a lounge, but it wasn't appropriate for children. There was lots of parking that spanned several blocks up from the hotel entrance, but it was still a bit of a nightmare finding a spot and then walking back to the hotel.

We just spent one night. But had a good time. The ocean view was great hotel and room was clean. Friendly staff, good parking accross the street.

First off the room was completly dirty, and the towels had junk all over them. We had to clean the bathtub before giving my son a bath. They would not refund us our money (which was pricey). the location is great, but the rooms are old, smelly, and the carpet was filthy. and it took them forever to clean them. I highly would not reccomend this place at all.

We needed a suite with two bedrooms because we had 2 teenagers with us, but we didn't realize we would be in a luxury penthouse suite! It was absolutely fantastic! It was a beautiful place at an unbelievable price. I compared it to the price I could get by booking through the hotel directly and am now sold. We will book all future vacations through Orbitz!!

great location, great pool... however, the rooms were a bit small (esp the bathroom) and there were never enough chairs poolside. The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. But for the $ and the location, it was a very good deal. The location is a bit off the beaten path if you are interested in wild nightlife, etc... but if you are looking for the beach and a short drive to food and shopping... this is a great bargain.

Ocean Reef had a great children's pool. I have a one year old and that was one of the selling points. Also...if you are traveling with a little one, the have Pack & Plays available at no charge. (Bring your own sheets for it though...kind of yucky from other babies.) I was great not to have to pack ours though.

While at the Ocean Reeef we spent our time at the beach. The location was amazing. The beach front unparalleled. The pool was okay for older kids, right down amazing for younger kids. Its an old hotel that has been cheaply made over. For the price I expected much better accomodations.

The reviews that we read about the Ocean Reef Resort before booking our vacation were spot on. The rooms were extremely clean, and the location on the North side of Myrtle Beach was very quiet. We enjoyed walking next door to a very quaint Starbucks to get our coffee each morning! The pools were very kid friendly, and were kept very clean. We felt that the Ocean Reef was a value for what we experienced. We will stay there again on our next visit to Myrtle Beach!

We were early to check in but we had traveled 750 miles and spent the night in a crapy hotel on the way. We were ready to get unpacked and get to the beach. This was me and my sons first trip to the ocean. We had to wait an hour and a half for our room. Check in time is 3 p.m. and our room was ready at 3 p.m. on the nose. I felt they could've jumped ahead to our room and got it ready since we were waiting but since they didn't guarantee it would be ready early I didn't push it. Other than that our experience was wonderful. The staff was the most courteous I have ever seen. We've stayed in Las Vegas twice and been to several other casino/hotels and never have we been treated so well. We would definately return to Ocean Reef.

The view from the balcony was awesome. The amenities were just right for the two of us. Our room was clean, roomy, and quiet. We will choose this hotel again in the future!
