Ocean Reef Resort

Everything as advertised or listed on the site. Room was clean and everything worked (although you could see the place was a bit older based on the number and location of wall plugs and the kitchenette). Beautiful view of the ocean, big pool area, lots of parking (albeit across the street from the hotel). For the price, it was tough to argue with the place. Count me in the next time I'm in town.

Very well-kept, clean and friendly. Lots for my 8-year-old daughter to do. Beautiful stretch of beach. We were on the 14th floor. Great views from living room and master bedroom. Has 2, 3 and 4 bedroom suites. All pools were heated inside and out.

Wasn't sure how the room would be since we paid so little for it, but I was very pleased. Not only was it a great deal on an oceanfront room, but the room was very clean and had everything we expected. Stay was quiet even during bike week. Staff was very friendly and the grassy area next to the pool deck was very restful and a nice change.

My boyfriend and I are a young couple without any kids and booked an ocean front room with this resort because it was the cheapest/nicest hotel with a kitchenette. When we got there was numerous parking lots/garage just across the street, the room was clean, service was awesome, there was so much to do for kids (which we don't have any but if you have kids this is a great place to go). The only thing is if you want to be close to the boardwalk & the shops on the boardwalk it's 7 miles away so you have to drive unless you want an hour long walk. If you don't want to drive much to get anywhere this isn't a place you want to go but if you don't mind, then this hotel is perfect. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing! Will definitely go back!

Stayed here before will stay again, super location, family friendly, the pillows are in great condition, and there are warm beach towels at the pool area.

I'm sponsoring a trip later this year and wanted to review the hotel before hand. I was very,very pleased. The staff was friendly and professional. The standard room was great and had an excellent view. Since I have already block rooms, I was allowed to see what the other room types were like and I must say that they were exactly as advertise. I am well satisfy with this hotel. The only short coming is that the restaurant is not open for lunch and dinner but enjoyable dining is not far away.

I was there for a week and had a wonderful view of the ocean and beach from my 12th floor balcony. Rooms were nice and large and included a stove, microwave, and fridge. Internet was very quick, especially for a hotel. The water activities/pools are amazing for adults and kids. There is a water play area/pool outside with various water spraying contraptions (like a mini water theme park). Inside there is another area like this along with a 'lazy river', regular pool, and several hot tubs. A very nice area outside for lounging as well as just a few feet from the ocean. Parking was across the street in both a garage and a surface lot (didn't have any problems finding spots in the garage). Staff was friendly. Location was great (this is not in the shady part of Myrtle Beach). Highly recommended! My only complaint concerns the beds - they are hard and the hotel would be wise to get more comfortable mattresses.

Great getaway. Quiet area but close enough to food and golf.

My family experienced two deaths and horrible car accident. My brother and I needed to get away and enjoy each other's company. We came down and enjoyed this hotel so much. It is not the first time we stayed here and will definetely stay here again. It was so peaceful this time of year (Dec). I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
