Activities for the whole family and residential amenities
The Ocean Reef Resort boasts efficiencies and condos with full kitchens and plays an active role in entertaining its guests. Daily supervised children's activities engage the kids come summer, while a new water park wows with tipping buckets, water streams, fountains and oversized tiki statues. A tropical lounge sets the mood for outdoor cocktails. An-onsite sauna, fitness center and game room round out the leisure options.

- Angle Oceanfront Two Bedroom Condo
- Our Angle Oceanfront Two Bedroom Condos are equipped with 1 King Bedroom with full bath, and 2 Double Beds in the second bedroom. The unit has one additional full bath in the common area. Each Bedroom and the Living room have their own Televisions. The unit also has a stackable washer and dryer. The living room has a private balcony and a sofa bed. Great family vacation
I had a wonderful experience at this resort. The staff was great and helpful. The view of the beach from the balcony was beautiful. I would stay here again in the future.

My husband and I enjoyed being able to get away to the beach and stay in an oceanfront room for such a reasonable winter price. We had a Deluxe 2 queen bed room and it was perfect for our stay. About 1/2 way between Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach, it's easy to get to wherever you want to go in Myrtle Beach. Would love to stay there in the summer, but will probably be out of our price range at that time! We are going to check out the condos, however, and see if we can get some friends to join us and split the cost.

If you like good, not pricey seafood, head to Calabash NC and eat at the Seafood Hut. Order the child's plate...believe me, that's all you need. AND...don't miss Bubba's Fish Shack in Surfside for the best catfish in town.

Hilariously Poor Customer Service
Prepare for ornery, unsupervised/untrained hotel staff -- this is typical of many places in Myrtle and not unique to this hotel. (Be forewarned that there is a $6+tax 'resort fee' separate from the online booking, even though in the off-season there really are no resort services and most of the amenities are shuttered.) At checkin the front desk insisted I park in their short-term lot, but they called me that evening just after I had gone to sleep to tell me I needed to move my car to their long term parking. More annoyingly, I requested a late checkout the afternoon before and was given an extra 2 hours, but the next morning the front desk (Rosa) called and asked me why I hadn't checked out -- I explained I had already been given a late checkout, and while I didn't know the name of the clerk I described her appearance and when I spoke with her. Rosa: "There is no one here that fits that description, no note on your account, and we NEVER give 2 hour extensions. You need to checkout within the hour." When I mentioned this experience at checkout to Megan, the supervisor, she just said something incomprehensible like "sorry but our audit was off" and when I requested a receipt to show 0 balance for the room & charges, she told me she couldn't give me one since I had booked through a 3rd party, even though the 'resort fee' was accounted separately. On my next trip to Myrtle, I will definitely be exploring alternate accommodations.

I hope to stay there again!
We stayed here mid Nov 2011. I thought I got a great value in this room. We had an oceanfront 2 queen bed on the 12th floor, refrig, micro, coffee maker. Of course, the best part was being right on the beach (had a private balcony). The beds were fine (though I've slept in more comfortable ones in other hotels). The room was very clean, a huge plus for me. It's obvious that this hotel is conscientious about maintaining a nice appearance. We also enjoyed the indoor pool, hot tubs, and lazy river. Even the outdoor pool was heated. There was a gameroom and restaurant, though we didn't try them. The only complaint I have is not having a continental breakfast and having a rude maid bang on our door early the morning we were to check out, waking us up! Other than this, we had a very pleasant stay.

Good getaway
My husband and I got away for just the night so the room was comforfortable for the price. The room was very clean but needs uograde. We listened to the microfridge tick al night, the stopper in the tub did'nt work along with a few other things. The parking lot was across the street so that's a minus.

Not a bad hotel
Staff is not overly friendly. Room was clean. The balcony had a wall that blocked the ocean when seated. Tried to get us to a 3 hour timeshare offer after check-in by offering us free show tickets. Parking is terrible when busy. Breakfast was so-so. Nice heated pool. They forgot to give us a wake up call day we were leaving. Probably would not stay here again.

A Friendly Resort Hotel
Parking was easy and convenient. Great resort hotel, next to the beach. Room was clean and comfortable along with kitchen features. Ocean view room was fantastic. Staff and front desk were cheerful and helpful. Good bed, comfortable mattress.Great value for the money.
