Ocean Park Resort

This hotel was good for the price. It wasn't up to my standards when it came to cleanliness but I really can't complain. The railing on the balcony was not stable. There was rust in the bathroom and on the air conditioning system but other than that, I got what I paid for.

#1 you said we would have a front view of the ocean NOT The sink was plugged with old old sand so they moved us to a room below our first and the sink was plugged there also.. The staff was very friendly. I asked about 50 times while on the phone if we would have the front view and was told definitely and was very upset when we did not. The air cond was not working correctly in either room. We either froze or were HOT.

I read the reviews, but I booked here anyway because we have a small dog, and we wanted a cheap rate. The location, kitchen, ocean view w/balcony, pool and hot tub are great. And, the rate was cheap. But, the room did need minor repairs, and there were some rust here and there, and it wasn't as clean as it should have been. There actually was feces on the bedspread! The stuff was great, but they really need to step up their cleaning and maintenance.

Room was just an ordinary motel room plus a full size refrigerator and stove. Appliances were rusty, all doors on the floor needed paint. Had asked for a handicapped room - were told on arrival that the hotel had none. Not that they were in use - they claimed to not even have any. Staff did try to help by finding a stool to use in the tub/shower. At in-season rates, I'd have been appalled. At off-season, OK I guess.

Only one way in & out which was very annoying having to wait for slow people in front. Room had a funny smell (damp-like) and could not see the Ocean.....I specifically asked about facing the beach and was assured I got it, but it didnt happen. When I went to the desk, they said none of these rooms were available! So, I was lied to, which I didnt like. Breakfast is cold stuff. Will NOT go back

We were not pleased with our stay. The room had not been clean very well. The resort itself needs alot of maintenance done to it. There was cigeraettes butts laying around the pool. Would not stay there again.

well, the lobby was the cleanest part of the hotel. the rooms were big, and clean, but the toilet paper sucked, the shower water pressure sucked. there was 3 rusty nails in the pool bathroom stahl, the left deck to the beach is falling apart, there is big holes in it, and the boards feel like they are about to break, there is also a big nail sticking out of one of the boards. i would not stay again. the pools were nice, but that was the best part. i work at a hotel so i know what to expect from a hotel, the front desk does not greet you, the maintance was not friendly.

If your a pet lover you would love the hotel. It was a dog show! Lovely dogs that you can bring to the hotel but downside they bark all night! Second the room was so so they are slowly in the process of revoation. Like it was a new kitchen new bathroom. The walls need to be painted or new wall paper. Their were big paint spots on the wall as if someone was starting a project. The jets in the spa didnt work only the bottom ones work not the back jets didnt work. Other than that love the deck to see the beach in sun chairs and room on the beach loved!

We got there and it wasn't the nicest place I've ever stayed in but not the worse either. The room smelled like the carpet go wet and mildewed. The elevators were a little slow. We only stayed a weekend though so it was tolerable for that long. Definitely not the best place - the views and convenience to the beach was good though.

This is a very old property. It smells everywhere! The kitchen in our room was very small. Not much utensils. We went there with a famlily but we did not like this place at all. I don't recommend this place. There are many other options available in Myrtle Beach like Atlantic Breeze etc. I will skip this one!
