Ocean Park Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was easy to locate, and had wonderful amenities at hand. The full kitchen with stove and microwave was very convienient. The hotel staff was pleasant, and very helpful at check in and when we checked out. We look forward to staying there again. I don't think we will be staying anywhere else when we are in this area.

The Ocean Park Resort was an excellent value for the money. Beach-front property at a reasonable price. Had all the necessities and both the indoor and outdoor pools were nice. Staff was helpful with requests. This was a good middle of the road choice - nothing fancy. Everything was clean, could use some minor updating.

Ocean Park Resort is comfortable,spacious hotel. Elevators were a little slow. Located out of the high traffic areas, but not many restaurants to eat at nearby. Would recommend it to a friend.

The beach trip turned out great,the only thing wrong was the bathroom in the hotel the toliet was not proporley fastened down the door nobb was hanging off.The location was great.

The desk clerk very rude unable to check until after 4pm. We didn't even stay the night, we left around 11pm and drove back 4 1/2 hours to get back home, the area the hotel was in is not safe and there was no parking.

The Ocean Park Resort, Myrtle Beach, SC is old and in need of updating. It is clean but the room doors are outside like a motel, not a resort. there is only one elevator to go 14 or 15 floors.

When you consider that this hotel gets trashed during spring break and two bike weeks each year, they do a pretty good job keeping up appearances. All the rooms face the ocean and it was wonderful to keep the patio door open at night to hear the waves crashing on the beach all night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The business office was in rough shape and the only wi-fi spot in the hotel was in the front lobby so it is definately not a business destination. Overall, we had a great time and would definately go back.

The only good thing about this hotel was that it is ocean front. The hot tub right outside our door, you couldn't even see the ocean. (The hot tub was only hot our first day.) This sliding glass door didn't lock. It had a sliding rod that didn't line up with the hole it was supposed to slide into. We told the desk it wouldn't lock and they sent someone to look at it. He said you need to wiggle it to get it to line up right. It took over an hour with 2 of us trying to wiggle it just right to get the rod to slide in. (By that time we were both covered with grease.) Where the rug in the room started, after the kitchen area, it was all frayed and pulling up. There were staples sticking up that my daughter stepped on in bare feet. They did come and covered it with duct tape. There were also staples sticking out of the back of one of the chairs at the table. They ripped a hole in my brand new shorts. The bathroom door also wouldn't close tight. They didn't do anything about that. They were dead roaches on the floor, both in the room and on the balcony. There was a sauna, but it didn't get hot. There were glasses in the cabinet with dried milk on the bottom. We wouldn't stay here again if they paid us.

Great hotel, large rooms, great view.

This hotel seems comparable to all of the other mid-range properties in the area, however it seems to be in serious need of upkeep. Flooding on the floor we were first given, staff moved us to a higher floor, next day the water pipe to the spa had burst and spa was overflowing all into the pool area, the first room we were given was rather run down, the second was bordering on the up-side of acceptable. Parking was fine, elevators were scary, staff was nice enough, but don't expect to be wowed - if I payed more than a rock-bottom sale price I would have ben disappointed. Outdoor spa was very nice and beach access was great.
