Long Bay Resort

First I was given the card to an occupied room; then I was given the card to a dirty room. Then I finally got to a clean room and the maid walked in on me as I was getting dressed (she was told by front desk room had checkout and needed to be cleaned). When I complained to the front desk management acted like it wasn't a big deal. Hotel is overall unkept and dirty. Did have nice pools however.

We reserved an ocean view room for extra cost for a birthday weekend for my kids. Upon arrival to the room there was only a small view of the ocean due to another building of rooms directly in front of us. Then deciding on staying an extra night there were issues trying to get a second night due to using orbitz for the first night. The cost went up by $30 and they didnt charge teh right credit card. They also required an additional $50 deposit upon arrival even though a credit card was used. I will not be staying with this hotel again. The rooms were also very small and cramped.

to get a good look at the ocean in our oceanview room we had to go out on the balcony and all the way to the right side. Rug desparately needed cleaning and turned the bottoms of our feet black. Staff was very courtious and efficient.

Read carefully. I paid for the hotel which included "taxes and fees". When I checked in, they charged me another fee, over 10% more. I was given a room that was occupied. My key did not work, so a maintenance man passing by, opened the door to find another guest in his underwear at the table. He was as about as ammused as I was.

The website was showing $32 but it will become $50 when you go there. Thats ridiculous. Hotel should put all the expenses at the time of booking. I will not opt for Long bay next time.

when checked into the room was put into a room with a street view with the ocean view way off to the side, definately not Oceanview as booked , I complained to the front desk, only to be told they could not move me and I should be more cautious when booking on a 3rd party site, that I should have called the Hotel to book my room. The day of check out I was in the laundry room drying clothes, came back to the room and housekeeping had started moving out my things and was cleaning the room, I had to pack up while they were cleaning. I complained to the front desk to only be told that housekeeping must have thought I had checked out which was not accurate. I was not pleased with the cleanliness of the pool or unfriendlyness of the staff.

The location of the room was terrible, and there was a weird smell in the room. The staff was fairly pleasant. Great hotel for kids though...

The hotel was okay at best. I was visiting for my sister's wedding. My family was in the same hotel, but were hard to find due to the twists and turns of the hotel.

The hotel was fairly easy to find. The pictures on the website by no means give you an idea of what thge actual accommodations will be. The room was clean enough but the carpets were in need of repair or replacement. The desk staff was courteous. The room I stayed in was on the 6th floor. The bedrooms are at the front by the walkway so you can hear everything or everyone can hear you. The layout was just not very appealing. If I had no other choice I suppose I would stay there again, but now I know not to expect too much!

Curtains were threadbare. The shower was not working @ check-in. Bathrooms were not cleaned- someone's body hair & insect wing were in the tube. Sink drains had mold & mildew. My oceanview room meant hanging over the railing to see past the palm trees & hotel to see a sliver of the ocean. Only decent thing was housekeeping on day 2- she was wonderful!! Otherwise- will never stay here again!
