Never Again

We used the lazy river and the hot tub,ate the continental breakfast buffet, and walked on the beach. When we made our reservation it stated that we had an ocean view. However we were put in a room further back with only a side view. We chose the hotel for the name Holiday Inn, but after getting there, it wasn't affiliated with the chain, or the quality of the chain. We have stayed at two other hotels in Myrtle Beach in the past year and this was not up to the previous hotels standards that we stayed at. We will be sure not to stay there again. The staff also didn't seem concerned about the room's heater setting off the fire alarm.

just fine

overall the experience was positive. I thought the continental breakfast was adequate and well maintained. I thought the bathroom was outdated and dirty. The housekeeping was very good. We enjoyed all the pools and jacuzzi. The location was also very good for us as we could get around easily. I was also under the assumption that ocean view was a straight on view with a private balcony not a side view with a semi-private balcony in the building next to the main one.

better restuarants are not in town. Good to have transportation. We found better restuarants north or south of our location but all had to be driven to.

Great hotel, excellent location!

Great hotel & excellent location. This hotel is close to the airport, within walking distance to many of the shops, restaurants & bars, and all of the other hot spots (Ripley's, putt-putt, etc.). Also close to Broadway at the Beach. :) Our room was very clean, and the staff was very attentive. The ocean view from our balcony was beautiful! The pools were great too... we even took a spin in the lazy river! Also, the tiki bar next to the outdoor pool was a great bonus for us workaholics! Overall, the hotel seemed to be well-maintained, and a perfect retreat for family or friends. It was definitely well worth the price we paid.

wonderful vacation

We had a 5th floor ocean-front efficiency which gave us an awesome view of that beautiful ocean. Overall the hotel was clean, the elevator a little slow and the ice machine was empty one night during our stay. But this hotel has the perfect location if you like being in the mix--or travel with children or teenagers....and you're not far from the shows and entertainment. The rooms are a little pricey, but my husband and I both agree that it's well worth it. We're already planning our next family vacation at the Holiday Inn Pavilion. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
