Holiday Inn Club Vacations MYRTLE BEACH-SOUTH BEACH

We stayed two nights in April 2012. We checked-in at 8:30pm on a Friday, and planned to leave at 7am on Sunday morning. Our daughters were competing in a National Championship cheering event. This was the recommended hotel of our organization. The accommodations were adequate. However, upon check-in, we were presented with a "savings voucher" to present to the "concierge desk". I knew this must have been a timeshare facility, because I was corraled before I could exit the lobby. Even though I explained that we were only intown for two nights, and would be unavailable for a "tour", the woman still insisted on giving me a "savings package" which was a plastic shopping bag containing useless coupons booklets. We went to our room, put our toddler son to bed, and proceeded to receive two phone calls from the front desk. (Both calls came AFTER 9pm.) One checking to see if we had found the crib for him. The other to see how our room was. We were up and out early Saturday morning, and didn't get back to the room until 8:30pm that night. We received a call from the "concierge desk" at 8:45pm, again offering us a "tour" of their facility. When I explained that we were leaving early in the morning, therefore we would not have time, the woman was less than polite. To say she abruptly hung up would be accurate. We will not stay there again. Even though the accommodations were fine, the pressure from the timeshare staff was not necessary. It was stereotypical attitude...on a larger scale than I have ever experienced.

The villa we had was beautiful! Plenty things to do with your family/friends or by yourself.Indoor/outdoor pools and jacuzzi.Me and my daughters especially enjoyed The Lazy River! The beach was beautiful and e very thing was so neat and clean! The staff was amazing from the front desk to the shuttle drivers etc.The Market Commons is the place to be for great shopping and dining.The movie theater was the best we've ever seen.Make sure to check out The Ripley's Aquarium and museum at the Boardwalk! Plenty to do from sun up to sun down.We'll definitely return!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was pleasantly surprised - the suite was very nice and overlooked the big pool. Loved the layout and decor. We originally thought it was on the beach, but soon decided it didn't matter. The place and staff were so wonderful. If I ever come back, this will be the place I will stay at.

Truly a pleasant and fantastic experience and hotel. The service was great, staff friendly, and accommodation was stellar. I would absolutely stay here again in a heart beat.

THE RESORT WAS NICE BUT THEY TALKED US INTO THE TIMESHARE THING AND THEN THE SALES REP NAMED PAMELA FROM MARYLAND WAS RUDE AND VERY UGLY WHEN WE DIDN'T WANT TO PURCHASE!!!!! ALSO THEY DIDN'T TELL US THEY WOULD CHARGE US 115.00 SERCUITY HOLD ON OUR CARD AND THEN IT WOULD BE 5-7 BUSNIESS DAY BEFORE THEY WOULD CREDIT IT BACK!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Terrific! Great location for ocean walks, and golfing!

indoor and outdoor heated pool, hot tub indoors and a 40 person outdoor hot tub, the room was clean and comfortable,we did not have a car so we had to walk,not alot within walking distance ( Compass Cove for breakfast was walkable ,large buffett breakfast with fresh eggs cooked for only $8.95) otherwise they have a shuttle available to take you short distances and small fees to Broadway on the Beach (shuttle only availabe till 6pm) We had a wonderful relaxing vacation

We were very happy with our brief stay here, we would definitely stay here again.

Nice amenitites, very nice staff, but mattress sagged a lot. Staff did replace mattress next day after I called, and that mattress was better but it also sagged some. We also heard "water noises" during the night when upstairs guest used their restroom.

the staff was more than willing to help. Very friendly.
