Happy Holiday Motel

Hotel was decent... it was cheap and it wasn't dirty. The hotel staff were kind of sketchy but we didn't have any problems. Only complaint we had was that they didn't have wifi.

Location was super. But traveling with small child, location chosen not ideal. Too noisy at night time. Rooms run down pretty bad. But doable after self sanitizing. No maid service. Fresh towels only delivered once. But it was adequate for a sleeping room.

the rooms were discusting, they need to update there heading newly renovated in the 1980's parking was non existant and you had all types of creepy people in the parking lot all night.

LOVED IT !!!!!!!!! THE MOTEL IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE OCEAN. THE REVIEWS ON THIS HOTEL WHERE AWFUL BUT I DON'T KNOW WHY. OUR ROOM WAS CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT!!!!!! WE WHERE RIGHT IN THE HEART OF ALL THE ATTRACTIONS. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS AND WILL STAY THERE EVERY YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

For starters the hotel IS NOT newly renovated. The ceiling in the bathroom was bowing down from water damage from the room above. The paint was chipping off the walls and the ceiling in the rest of the room. The toilet kept running we had to shut the door so we didn't have to hear it. The phone did not work to call the front desk. We didn't have any maids come clean the room until the last day we stayed. The fire alarm was going off and the maintenance guy took it out and never replaced it right away so we had a night with no alarm. We also got to watch the episode of cops right outside of our room. I felt like I was staying the the ghetto. I will never stay there again.

it was okay. very peaceful but there were alot of people that was staying there getting there cars towed. very good view from the room we were in. sombody did come in our room though and asked if we needed towls im not sure if maybe they were lost or what. could have been better if we didnt have to walk up so many stairs with alot of thing.. :) but other then that is was pretty nice.

for starters the room had roaches told the front desk said they cant do anything about. someone urinated on the steps no one cleaned it up really smelled bad.tv didnt work all the buttons were broken.requested clean towels never got them. room never was cleaned or made up.staff could care less if your happy.i would never stay or recomend this place

First off it was very hot, humid and stuffy in the main office. The air condition was off. There was no maid service in the four days and three nights we stayed. We had to get our own towels from the front office. The bathroom door would not shut and there was no ice maker at this lodging. The trash can was never emptied during our stay and was full by the time we left. There was no bag inside the trash container. This was a tall 30 gallon container. No shampoo was provider either. Toilet appear not to be properly sealed and had a smell to it. This was equivalent to or worst than staying in a tent or campsite.

We checked in to this hotel and it was just nasty and we immediatley checked out. The Happy Holiday Motel states that it was newly removated in 2007. The only thing that appeared new to me was the actual sign out front for the motel. I don't think a new tube of cocking is considered a remodel. This is not a place for older couples or anyone with kids. If your into the party seen and don't mind were you lay your head after drinking a bottle of booze then this is the place. The room stunk and the mold was so thick around the shower it looked like this was a lab project. And I can't describle what the walls looked like because I couldn't stand there long enough becaue of the fowl odor. The parking lot looked like something out of a Sci-fyi movie with nasty company hanging around.

Everything went wrong from the time of check in to check out. It was very far from newly renovated, more of the roof caving in and the door in three pieces.Unprofessional staff,three wreckers very noisy towing cars, screaming peolpe, people beating on our door and trying to get in, the shower curtain had mold and urine stains, the bed was hard with springs digging into your side, pillows were hard, cable didn't work at all, and the toilet was coming out of the floor, needless to say, we had no sleep and ruined our day at Myrtle Beach.[...]
