As you approach Bluegreen Harbour Lights the tree lined drive and lighthouse invite you to a world without care. Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway less than five miles from the beach the resort is an elegant seaside style community. Colorful pastel buildings with nautical villa decor and a wraparound porch at the clubhouse exude our lowcountry charm. There is plenty to do at Harbour Lights without even venturing to the nearby Grand Strand. Bike or walk along picturesque winding roads. Float effortlessly along our lazy river or bathe yourself in a coastal Carolina sunset from the hot tub. If you dont feel like going to the beach then spend the day with the kids at the pool and our poolside bar Knots. Relax with a Key Lime Pie Smoothie or a South Carolina Tea while the kids enjoy frozen fruit smoothies. And be sure to take a look at our food menu for great appetizers and combo meals. Our extensive activities program either at the pool or in the kids clubroom will entertain the kids year round. Young ones can cool off from the summer heat by splashing around in the kiddie pool that has a fountain. Harbour Lights is located within driving distance of outlet malls terrific theaters live entertainment and golf courses. Complimentary weekly housekeeping; additional cleanings available at a fee of 45.00 per clean. Resort will undergo an exterior renovation project on some buildings now through the end of May 2012. Due to these renovations neighboring buildings may experience some noise and dust.

great place

Spent two nights there over Easter with my kids. It was a great trip, great value. Approximately $100 got us a one bedroom, one bathroom suite with a fully furnished kitchen, a pullout couch, flat screen TV, and a balcony overlooking the pond (which they keep stocked with fish). There are two or three pools and a bar/grill on site as well; everything onsite is within easy walking distance. The location is fine; nowhere near the beach or anything, but it's a two minute drive to highway 501 and another two minutes to highway 17, which should get you anywhere you need to go within fifteen or twenty minutes or so. My only real complaint is that both our beds were way, way too stiff.

perfect for mini-marathon race

This was across the street from the Myrtle Beach mini-marathon start. We were able to walk out about 10 min. before the race began. It was a great place to stay. Very nice rooms and huge master suite. This had a nice screened porch overlooking the lake. The staff could not have been nicer. I would stay here again

Harbor Lights Stay

I have read some of the reviews on this place and I was amazed when I got there. This is not a two star resort its more like 3/4 star. It was an amazing deal for the price. The facility is clean, updated and well kept. We rented a suite, (bedroom, full kitchen, living room, large bathroom, closed in outdoor porch) all for $80. There isnt much around it but all the major roads are close by which has everything. So if you want to go off the resort you will need car. But this is a cool place for families, friends and all around relaxing. I would absolutly stay here again. There are tons of resturants, stores and an outlet all within ten minutes. The beach is aout 15 minutes away, but if your not a beach person there are several pools at the resort. We only went to the beach twice in seven day period.

the good and the bad

we got the room for Friday thru Sunday and we were told at the time of check in that on Saturday morning we will have to check into another room. And I felt that we should have stayed in that one room because we got the room for the whole weekend. We did get to stay in that room when I called the front desk and complained.

bad birthday

The room was so small if you move around the room you was able to touch everything you see. The t.v was so small that you had to strange you eyes to see. I wasn't informed about any rules or policy of this place. I wasn't inform that housekeeping you had to pay for if you used them. Nothing was explain to me about anything. I was so disappoint that I left only on Monday July the 23th. I couldn't take it anymore. It was a good birthday at all.
