Grande Shores Ocean Hotel

The hotel is with good location, clean rooms, very comfortable parking lot, nice swimming pools –especially those on the 7th floor. I was on the 4th floor with ocean view not ocean front room but the view was awesome. Definitely I would like to come back.

Hotel room was very outdated, in disrepair, and felt dirty. Brought the family to enjoy the beach while I attended business. Chose hotel based upon location (good), price (good), and photos (not accurate). First impression: very outdated furnishings, in need of a renovation at least post 1970s. "Oceanview" was a sorry disappointment, as you would have to press your face to the window to even glimpse the ocean. Carpet felt sticky to bare feet- gross! The management was friendly and apologetic, however the accomodations were not (in our opinion) suitable for families. Perhaps more suited to adult groups who won't spend any time in the rooms or who will spend that time making their own mess.

The location was perfect!! Hotel is right in front of the beach. Had a nice view from the room looking out towards the beach.The road that the hotel is on is close to kings highway which is where all the food, souvenir shops,put put, liquor stores and basically everything is located on that highway or off the highway. Also we had to call down to front desk for batteries for our remote for tv and they were there within 5 mins so service was great! The hotel gave us a whole bag full of coupons and brochures for restuarants and activties. I would definitely stay there again and recommend for my friends & family.

had a great time. my room was wonderful. i started off with a side ocean view and ended up with a ocean front that i was suppost to have. they had no problem giving me another room right away. great services. would suggest them again..

I did not like the room at all it was not the feasible for 3 kids. I was told on the phone that it was enough room. the full kitchen was very small and the eyes were coming up on the stove. I was told there would be a balcony and there was not. We did not stay there. I was not happy at all.

My two kids loved the two lazy rivers and my husband loved the hot tub!

Overall we had a nice vacation. We were looking for a beach getaway and ocean front room was a must. We got that and at a decent rate. There are 3 pool areas(2 outdoor, 1 indoor), so people don't crowd all in one spot all the time. The lazy river pool is very popular with kids and adults. The rooms were a good size with a full sized refrigerator and microwave --very usefull for a weeklong stay with a family. Everything is very outdated, however. The bathroom had the feel of a rundown motel--cracked sink and tiles. The hallways are all carpeted, which makes no sense because they are damp most of the time from people walking from the beach or the pool. Gives everything a dingy feel. I will probably not come back.

Excellent location, helpful staff, pools clean, rooms clean with plenty of linens, and love oceanfront balcony. My 91 year young mother went with us and our 10 year old grandson...mother loved balcony and grandson loved pools and ocean.

It was a great vacation. Room was oceanfront, just what we wanted. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to restuarants and shopping. Would enjoy coming again. [...] I did not like that on the website it showed a small park and there was not one.

Luggage carts were not available when we arrived and departed. We had to make three trips between our room and car upon arrival and departure. We requested luggage cats but they never arrived on the first floor after "engineering" was called. The lights between our beds did not light. The refrigerator in our room leaked inside the refrigerator. We had to request a remote device for our TV. There was none in our room upon arrival. Upon return from a drive on Sunday our car was almost hit by a water balloon thrown from and upper floor room. There is no real separation between the multi level parking garage and the hotle rooms. It is almost as if the hotel rooms were built around a parking garage. There appears to be the danger of exhaust fumes getting into the corridors. The price we paid was entirely too expensive for the experence and service we encountered.
