Visitors are spoiled with other amenities, too, like spa treatments in the private cabana and patio dining at the Captain's Café, an offshoot of the award-winning Sea Captain's House. Fully-furnished condos enable guests to cook at home and lounge on the balcony to take in the peaceful tides below.

  • Stylish condos with ocean views
  • Tennis and basketball courts, foosball table, billiards and ping pong

Nice stay but

While the location and the room itself were great and I would recomend for a family get away indoor pools with water sildes etc be wary that when they saw I had booked with Orbitz my room # was changed. I still had ocean view balcony room on the first floor BUT was moved right next to the hotel kitchen and the laundry room which made for a noisy stay and at 5:30 you could smell them preparing for the breakfast buffet. They also have great access to the beach. The staff was not rude but they were not friendly either. Parking is across the street in a parking garage.

Stylish furniture not very comfortable

Nice size bed but room set up was strange and furnishing were uncomfortable. Staff said that we didn't save any money by going through obitz. Pool area was nice. Some staff were not very friendly or helpful.

Very family friendly

The hotel is in a good location. Convenient to shopping and resteraunts. The hotel resteraunt was a little expensive. The room was nice and it was good to have and extra sink and vanity outside of the bathroom itself. The water parks were amazing and made it easy to keep the kids occupied and happy without having to leave the hotel and pay extra expenses. The water in the smaller waterslides was a bit chilly most of the time though and this did frustrate me a little because they are the only ones me or my children wanted to go on or were allowed to go on and at night it was just too cold, so we had to stay in the pools instead. Overall, we all had a great time and plan on returning to the Dunes Village Resort again in the summer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and have allready had a few friends visit it themselves.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There were many different types of places to eat nearby. From the restaurant inside the hotel, to fast food places, to family style dining, and hibachi restaurants.

A must for families!

We just returned from what was the best visit to Myrtle beach yet-the Dunes Village Resort had alot to do with that! We stayed in a 1 bedroom oceanfront queen suite with our 2 boys (ages 4 and 5). The water parks were amazing-our kids didn't want to leave the hotel. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our planned 2 night weekend getaway for an extra night. The rooms were well appointed and VERY clean and spacious. The only negative, in my opinion, is the beds-they are VERY hard-much harder than I am used to. Nonetheless, everything else far outweighed it. We will definitely be visiting again and will highly recommed this hotel to family and friends!

Amazing Water Park

We had an amazing time on the Lazy River and Water Slides with our 4 and 6 year olds. They could have spent all day (and all night) if we let them. Location was right on the beach in a nice area of town with convenient parking across the street. Rooms were quite large with full kitchen and flat screen TV. Will definitely stay there again.

Beach Front .. Just Like Home..

This was a great hotel for the price. It was myself and my mom. (Ages 44 and 65). We had an oceanfront room... great balcony ... beautiful rooms... Living room with huge windows ... kitchen, dishwasher... WASHER and DRYER in our unit... huge jacuzzi tub... nice bedroom with two double beds, TV. We didn't bring our bathingsuits...but will next time... great inside water park... Great location... close to everything in Myrtle Beach...but also far enough away... in a residental area. Wonderful !
