The most disgusting place I have ever been to

Being at this hotel was the worst experience i ever had when i traveled in my life. When i arrived the first thing i say when coming in was a half dead water bug. The lobby looked dark and depressing. The hall walls were dirty and the carpet had stains on them. The room smelled like someone was smoking in it. the sheets were dirty and the walls were cracked. there was a tilted lamp and the rm looked filty over all. I was disguised and very dissatified with the hotel. The pictures were deceiving the hotel look in worse condtion then what the pictures show you. And the hotel is in the middle of no where with nothing close by.

Cheap and it shows ...

Rooms were a bit dark, dank, and smelled of mildew. The halls were very dark and smelled of mildew and leftover cleaning agent. Many of the doors were partially painted green with white or black spots all over them (not artistically ....). The pool was ok but chemical balance was off making for greenish water rather than clear water. The front desk was nice-enough. If you want to stay at a place where people commonly "fix their junkers" in the parking lot then this place is for you! If you want a strip-joint just a few businesses down the road from your hotel the this is place for you as well! The beds are cheap with mismatched mattress and box springs with no dust covers leaving open space under the bed for things to get lost. Despite the looks, the beds were not entirely uncomfortable (to be fair).Location was not ideal. The place is way, way, way away from anything you'd want to do (with a family) in Myrtle Beach. Honestly, just about any place would be better than this place, I believe. However, a positive note is that only a few places actually listed [...] was cheaper so compared to most hotels in the area, it's a bargain but you get what you pay for.Witnessed front desk personnel yelling at customers (who probably started the yelling, as I was always treated nicely and with respect). Likewise, front desk lady (poor thing) was crying after an irate caller on the phone ...We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The stay was bottom-line acceptable and better than camping or sleeping in your car.

Shady and cheap motel is the word

Shading is the word and if you don't mind cheap old dirty motels, go for it. Free internet is good. No free breakfast. The pool is all right. The registration person was wearing a tie but I was only there at night and left in the morning. Good Luck.

One word....AWFUL

I was so disappointed!! The carpet throughout the whole hotel was nasty and the hallways smelled. The elevator on our side of the motel was not working for 3 days we had to walk on the other side of the hotel to use another elevator. The room looked dirty, the sheets would not fit the matress they were so old and the bathtub looked dirty even after maid cleaned it.

Good Value

Room was clean and neat. Included a microwave, couch and refrigerator that were not advertised. Very polite and friendly staff. Drawbacks were a chemical (cleaner) odor and a dated facility. Well worth the price and a great value for the money. Location is a bit out of the way, 8-10 minutes to most attractions- but no traffic!

Big Mistake

From the second we pulled into the parking lot we knew there was a problem. The first thing we saw was a huge piece of plywood in place of a window being held up on the 3rd floor by duck tape. The ground below was sectioned off with caution tape. Upon checking in we noticed a snack room where they had nachos for people to buy. Beside the case was a crockpot containing what I am guessing was at one point in time the cheese used for topping the chips. We made our way to the elevator and up to our floor. When the elevator door opened we were greeted by the horrific smell of mold, mildew and mustiness. We held our breath and made our way down to our room. The room had two beds, a tv with a broken remote scotch-taped together, a coffee maker which obviously had pieces to a different machine comprising it and a view of the pool - the pool with yellowish brown viscous-looking water. I felt so dirty seeing people in the pool that I decided to take a shower. The shower had rusty nails holding the handicap rail to the wall and the stall was decorated with black hair from someone's head and genital area. Note: I am blonde and my friend has light brown hair. Could the place get any better? Yes. Yes it could. My friend and I decided to get to sleep around 11pm. We travelled 14 hours to get there and needed sleep, but at midnight the nightstand clock decided to wake us up with a loud alarm. Now, at that point we should have left, but we stayed against our better judgement. The next day we saw the sights in the morning and returned to the hotel in order to get ready for a wedding around noon. Upon returning to our room we noticed that a couple pieces of trash that had dropped on the floor before leaving were now strategically placed on the nightstand table next to the clock I unplugged the night before. Apparently housekeeping thought we had emotional attachment to our garbage. Overall the stay was so awful that instead of staying the 2nd night which we paid for, we left right after the wedding and took an hour nap at a rest stop on our way back to CT.

This is where hopes go to die

I traveled with a friend to attend a wedding in Myrtle Beach. When my friend and I first saw the hotel while driving down route 501 we noticed a large piece of plywood in place of a window on the building. As we mustered up the courage to actually walk inside, we were met by a shabby, dingy, unclean dining room area that was the hotel's self-claimed "restaurant." It looked like the dining area you may find at a rest stop along I-95. Already disappointed by what we had seen, we checked-in assuming it couldn't get any worse. But, it did. We took the elevator to our room on the fourth floor and while the window-based elevator was rising we were face to face with the large piece of plywood mentioned earlier. As soon as we stepped off the elevator we were smacked in the face with a strong smell of mildew that permeated the entire hallway. Along with that mildew, there were a couple wet spots on the carpet. Finally, we entered our room. Only to find tilted lampshades, a coffee machine that had the wrong parts to it and was not functional, left-over black hair in our shower, and a view of the opaque, murky pool and hot tub water. We booked 2 nights, but only slept there for one. The second night we decided to get the hell out of there and head home early. It was that bad. After our first night I had dropped a couple candy wrappers on the floor next to my bed by mistake. When I came back after housekeeping had been in the room, I found the two wrappers and other crumbs from the floor placed on the center of the night stand. I suppose housekeeping may have thought I was saving those for a special occasion. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. It is located about 10 minutes away from the myrtle beach strip, but is right off the highway. There are no restaurants within walking distance, only a gas station and a shady strip club about a 1/2 mile away. The hotel is dirty, dark, and operated poorly. Stay away from this hotel. Even $75 a night is way too much to pay for a room here. P.S There is no complementary breakfast. However, you can purchase stale nachos and cheese that look like they have been sitting out for a week for only $2!!!
