Crown Reef Resort

After entering our room, we looked around. There were potato chips at the head of the bed and under the fold down bed. The refrigerator was rusting from leaks, the Jacuzzi was filthy with a film in it, the TV in the sitting room was an old model and you couldn't see the picture because it was so faded. To top it off, when we woke up in the morning, the mattress on the king bed actually slid about a foot to the side overnight. We wanted to save some money but this was ridiculous. Next time we'll stay further north and in a name hotel. Never again will I visit this resort. O***** was a good experience but the hotel was definitely not!

The only redeeming quality here is the view, even though the windows where so dirty that you had to open the door for an ocean view. Elevators not working, noisy repairs were in progress and access from garage to hotel awkward

This hotel has been around a long time and it shows. If they want people to stay there and pay for it, they should make it a half way decent place to stay. The room was so old, dirty, smelly, and out dated I will never stay there again. I didn't even want to touch the buttons in the elevator, that smelled like urine, dirty and walls were filthy. I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free.

Over the years I have stayed at many hotels in Myrtle Beach and I have used many differnet sites to book my trips. This was by far the worst hotel I have stay at. Checked in and checked right back out. The rating was not 3 stars the picture that they had on the site was not what I got. The door open right in to the kitchen equipment there was no room to get in the room unless the door was wide open. I will not stay at this hotel ever again.

Looks are deceiving! Do not be fooled by the beautiful exterior of this resort & the pics of their rooms you view online. The room has paper thin walls, the furnishings appear to be original from the inception of the hotel & never updated. I can't begin to describe the smell as I have no words to adequately detail the stinch. The overall resort is dirty and not well kept. This stay was in January during off season which should have provided ample time for housekeeping to keep hallways, elevator's etc clean. Leaving after the first night, can't stand the thought of being in this room any longer.

The room looked as if it were a hundred years old. Nothing in the entire hotel seamed to work at all. The beds were made of stone and very very uncomfortable. The whole hotel was falling apart , it needs to be renovated. The pools were really dirty and the hot tub did not work.

Our room had mildew and rust on the walls. Dead bugs found under the TV... Bed left me with an aching back. The hot tub was the same temperature as the indoor pool and the jets only worked half of the time. We came during Spring break, and the outdoor pools were disgusting. We were told there was only 1 room left, but when we got here there were almost no guests. The only good things were the quietness of the hotel, the location/balcony overlooking the beach. Everything else left me unhappy and disappointed. :(

Drunk Sailor or High school Beach Trip, but not family and kids. Rusted frig,micro wave and stove. Bed needed duct tape to keep it together. Carpet was old but not as old as the beds, hey but the bath was ok. Staff was friendly, even showed me a few other rooms, but nothing any better than what we had plus we would have to pack up and move. We were only there for three days, Thank God.
