Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort

this was a last minute get away. i was picked up at the airport by the hotel complimentary shuttle and taken to the lobby. got to my room and it was very very nice. i could open the curtains and see the waves !! very happy with accommodations. only downfall was that i could not stay longer. thank you !!!

The reviews and pictures for this hotel looked great. Especially when I noticed there were 7 pools. The rooms were extremely small and the comforters were dirty. The hotel rooms are in serious need of remodeling. The hotel is extremely old! Save your money. There are better hotels that are less expensive or comparable such as Landmark or Palace.

Not fancy or extravagant, but clean, an excellent value, and overall a good place to stay.

I booked an ocean front room, so that i can see ocean from the room. when i get there they gave all the way to the corner,close to parking garage, the only thing i see was the parking and building ,i ask them to change the room and They told me that they can't do anything about it, because i didn't book through them , which doesn't make sense to me.After that i called Orb..and they put me on hold almost for an hour,At the end i gave up.

Staff was great, room was perfect, and location was right on the beach and ten to fifteen minutes from everything.

One thing I didn't like was the parking is right outside your rm. It's convient but not 2am when someone car alarms go off!

The Hotel was nice and pretty clean. Our room the first day was bad because we paid for the oceanfront room and we were put on the first floor by the pool which was a bad excuse for oceanfront. Once the room was changed everything was fine.

The Hotel has a lot of pools to choose from....the kids have a great time in the pools. The beach view is awesome. Two nights was not enough time to really enjoy Myrtle Beach, I would definitely want to stay longer. I enjoyed Karaoke at the bar and grill on Saturday night and during the week they do have activities you can sign the kids up for. I would definitely stay here again. Now, for the negatives.....Wireless internet did not work at all in our building, the pool towels were always out, ran out of guest parking spaces so had to park in the hotels 15 min check in space for one night, not enough handicap parking, no elevators in the parking garage and the service at the hotels breakfast restaurant was very poor and quite frankly not worth the hassle or price. With that being said......It is a nice place to vacation with kids. The kids loved all of the pools. We stayed in an ocean front efficiency room with 2 beds on the top floor (16) and it had great views.

The Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort is a great place to vacation. They have several pools to choose from, an exercise room, and saunas. I went with my husband, cousin, and one of his friends. The room was the perfect size for four. There is a tiki bar located outside by the pools. The rooms were clean and room service was very helpful. One night our smoke alarm's batteries died, I called the front desk, and maintance was there within 2 minutes. They have two outdoor grills that you can rent for no charge. It's a great alternative to eating out. The only thing I didn't like was that in the buiding we stayed in, they didn't have a hot tub. We had to walk to the next hotel building. And only one room had a tv in it. Other than that, everything was great. Check in and check out only took minutes.

I was a little disappointed with the room. The building we were in, still need more work. The hotel service was great and pool were great for the kiddies. I would stay there again but definetly in the remodeled rooms
