Caribbean Resort & Villas

Well, when we arrived there was a line out the door. So we didnt get in our room till 2hrs later. You had to practically mug other guests at the elevator when they brought down the carts for loading your luggage. Then my wife tells me that we did not have reservations for a room. By the way we booked through a third party website, which we went with the lowest price of course through this website. I will never do that again. A lesson well learned. We did have confirmation of our booking but the Hotel did not have us on file. So we obviously had to talk with management about this and they were very accommodating. The real problem began when we had to leave that sight or hotel that was in the picture on the website and go down the street to their 4 story hotel which was dirty. The kind you dont want to take off your shoes and go barefoot on the tile. It was called the Jamaican Room Ocean View and had to pay $30 extra dollars for that upgrade. The only thing that saved us is we would focus on the ocean from the balcony and that we were just passing through only for a few days because we had been in Orlando Fla. for 7 days. That just about summed it up. Never again will we use third party booking again.

We were put in a older version of the hotel down the block down in a mildewed basement. Then we were stuck below the pool deck level & if you stood up high you could catch a glimpse of the ocean every once in a while, if there wasn't anyone out by the small pool.

We chose this resort because my son was looking forward to the water slide. However the two days we were there the lifegaurd didn't show up to open the water slide. Very disappointing! When I spoke to the front desk attendent; I got a very rude reply to the complaint. The front desk is run by a group of kids. We stayed in the oldest of the few buildings, the Jamaican tower. It was very nice for an older building. Nice room, nice view. We had breakfast at the Sea Captains Restaurant next door. It was the most amazing breakfast buffet ever!!!

good experience, room was in older building, but clean, the kitchen was nice to have so we could have home cooked meals.

Great Location. Right on the beach, as well as next to the Sea Captain Restaurant which has excellent food. Also about 15 minute walk from Broadway at the Beach.

The room was average, but the pools were incredible! There were multiple pools, kiddie pools, and hot tubs, and even a lazy river! All were real nice and kept in good condition. It definitely made the hotel for me.

What can we say, Myrtle Beach finally getting real resort style, no need to go to Florida get a nice condo the new building is gorgeous

I've had pleasant experiences staying at the Caribbean Resort. However, instead of putting me in the main part of the hotel, they put me in a room at the establishment formerly known as The Jamaican Motor Inn, which is located up the road. They put no money into this dump and use their old, threadbare towels there. Please avoid this dump; it needs to be priced as a discount motel.

We stayed one night and enjoyed a nice local dinner. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub. We would have liked an updated T.V. But the staff was more than accomadating to put a dvd player in our rm. while we were at the pool so we didnt have to wait around
