Enjoyed Our Stay
My fiancƩ and I decided to check out one of the local beaches for the weekend to close out the Summer. The purpose of our trip was to relax at the beach during the down season when its not too crowded or extremely hot. We selected this hotel based on its overall amenities, affordability, location, as well as prior customer reviews. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who inquired about our visit in order to offer suggestions about things to do and interesting places to visit in the area. THERE WAS NO TIMESHARE PITCHING which was refreshing. Entire check-in time took only about 5 mins and we were off to our room. The room was very clean, spacious, and had very modern decorative dƩcor just as the online pictures present. A real bonus, outside of the full kitchen and lounge setup, was the extra balcony which gave the room a real relaxed feel while viewing the ocean. Although the resort was near full to capacity during our stay, it was amazingly quiet. Our only drawback from the resort was that it would have been nice to have an onsite restaurant or cafƩ in order to grab a quick hot meal without having to go off premise each time. Other than that, it was reasonably priced for it amenities, location was convenient to many of Myrtle Beach's attractions which where are abundant, and in walking distance. There also was easy beach access, as well as very secured parking. We would recommend this hotel.

Great simply great!!!!
We had the two bedroom condo and it was simply beautiful. Well decorated and super clean. We didn't use the kitchen much but it was complete with microwave and dishwasher (washer and dryer also). The price was very good.

Awesome stay
Hotel is in excellent location. The rooms are spotless and hotel staff offers excellent customer service. The main problem is the slow elevators (3 for a very large resort). They stop on every floor whether someone is waiting to ride or not. Had small issue with phone and internet service but was resolved very quickly. Overall a great experience for a very reasonable cost. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Bay View Resort 2009
The hotel was very nice and clean. However, it is not located in the best area of Myrtle Beach. When we arrived, there was an issue when checking in and the receptionist had an attitude while dealing with the problem. All the other staff we came in contact with were very nice. Overall, this is a very nice hotel to stay at.

Excellent Hotel for the Price!
Our hotel room was wonderful. We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo overlooking the city. Could not beat the price. Some things you should know: -Yes this hotel is located on the beach. However, if you are expecting the wonderful nice sandy beach, this is not it! It seems like the more traffic the beach has the more dirty it becomes. We found this place called Huntington Beach State Park. Its roughly 20-30 min from this hotel and it was absolutely beautiful. It cost $5 per person to get in to the park. Highly recommend it! -The hotel is right smack dab in the middle of EVERYTHING. You are in a couple blocks walking distance away from a lot of little shops (that all mostly sell the same thing, be careful, they really try and pull one over on you, most of them are owned by the same people). -The actual hotel was nice. The "city view" is more like a view of other lower grade hotels. I didn't mind it though. It was fun to people watch. DO NOT COUNT ON THE PULL OUT COUCH AS A BED!!! I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW UNCOMFORTABLE THIS WAS. We eventually went down and got 6 blankets to pile on the floor. That is how rediculous the couch was. The washer and dryer ended up being a life saver. The cleaning people didn't really clean. They pretty much came in, took dirty towels from the floor, gave us new ones, took the trash, made the bed and left. Only on the 2nd to last day did they actually vacuum and sweep the floor which was kind of aggravating since there was sand EVERYWHERE. They have a pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, and a little lazy river. They do not use salt water which is nice, I am finding that a lot more hotels are using salt water lately. -Some basic information I wish I would have known before I went: - Most night clubs cost $20 to get in (some have free admission in the coupon books) - You HAVE to wear closed toed shoes to these night clubs, no hats, and no tall tees - They stop selling hard alcohol at 7pm (they still sell beer though) - There are a million shops that all sell the same things, I recommend the Wings store that is across from the Walgreens off of HWY 17/Kings HWY. Their shirts there are quality shirts. They all print their own so who knows what you are getting. All in all it was a fantastic trip. Thank you Bay View for a great vacation for a great price!!

The good, bad, and ugly
Well the elevators were extremely slow. There are like 19 stories and only 3 elevators. That's not enough for the amount of people that were there. I heard that they are thinking about putting another elevator in next year, but the elevator guy was there the whole weekend and nothing was fixed.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
the carnival looked entertaining, but there was so many shops that we didn't make it. But if you park your car in the garage and don't mind to break sweat then you wont need any quarters for meters

Vacationer on a Budget
Bay View Resort Review
The staff was great, we had a problem with the room safe, and the desk attendent got the maintenance man up to the 15th floor VERY quickly. I was very impressed about that. I was extremely disappointed with the amount of time we had to wait on the elevators. 3 to service the entire building, and one quit working. I would recommend staying at this hotel, great location, but stay on the first 3 floors, or as many as you want to walk up, you will get to your room 4 times as fast if you take the stairs.
