Kids stay free at Charleston area budget hotel
The Red Roof Inn Mt Pleasant Patriots Point hotel is a good starting point for everything the Charleston area has to offer – it's a short drive from almost every attraction. The hotel is just two miles from the Patriots Point Naval Museum, the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier and departures for boats to Fort Sumter and dinner cruises. it was ok, but my husband made the bed one day and they passed the room by no clean towels. Then when I explained I was from out of state and had to wait till 2:30 to get a ride they said they couldn't let us stay in room till then .. Not like they were booked ..

Charelston Stay

Great Value
I attended the Family Circle Tennis Tournament on Daniel Island and again this year stayed at the Red Roof Inn. The tennis center is a short 12 min drive from the hotel and the value is unbeatable. My total bill was less than $300 total for a Thurs, Friday and Saturday stay. The room was clean, had a microwave, refrigerator and safe, cable TV, free WiFi, good firm matresses for my bad back, a new digital heat pump that was so quiet running and instant hot water (softened) at both the sink and shower, hotter than you needed it. Ask for a room on the back side and you will be treated to a beautiful view of a small lake. If you love getting your money's worth, this Red Roof Inn will put a smile on your face.

Great for the price!
This hotel was very clean, and a great value. The person at the front desk was friendly and made me feel welcome. It was great to know it was pet friendly. I will stay again the next time i go to Charleston.

Mediocre at best
The absolute bare bones of a hotel room. No coffee maker, sagging bed, cheap bed linnen and an air of cheapness about the entire establishment. Clerk eating when I checked in and had some food on her lip.

Needed an inexpensive place to stay while my daughter was moving in to the College of Charleston. Room was clean, area was quiet and secure (I had a bunch of dorm stuff in my car). I spent very little time in the room and had no need for amenities other than a toilet, shower and clean towels (I prefer reading to watching cable TV). Nice extra: hotel is directly behind a shopping center in walking distance with a Harris-Teeter (grocery), Sticky Fingers (bar-b-q) and Starbucks. Also, great seafood restaurants in the area.

It's just a short walk (or run, if you're a runner) to get on the new Cooper River Bridge which has a GREAT walkway/bikeway and a fabulous view of the river and whole Charleston area. Take your camera - this is a magnificent piece of architecture. This was a real treat!
