Masters Inn - Charleston/Mt. Pleasant

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever been in. First off, I came after driving 9 hours for a wedding I was attending. The staff refused me to check in early even an hour early though there were no house keeping staff visible doing any type of cleaning. After I was allowed to check an hour later, the room was disgusting! The chairs looked like someone had deposited some white colored bodily fluids on it. The shower was a place that I made sure to wear sandals because I can only imagine the things that were growing in there. I had a 2 night reservation but when I came back to the hotel after the wedding, there were cops in the unit below mine and I decided to leave early. I went to the main office and told them I needed to check out early and they just stared at me and said ok and let me leave without any question as to why. Lets just say that I was able to stay in the hilton in disney for less money than I paid for this place. I will never be going back to this place again!!!

The room was OK. It had a comfortable bed and everything worked. It was just an overnight stay and it worked fine

This hotel is nice, the only issue we had was the housekeeper was rude when i asked for more towels and to only have the trash emptied instead of the whole room one day, however the front desk was great with giving us directions and such. The location couldn't be better, 10 mins from downtown Charleston and 15 from Isle of Palms.

The staff was very polite, fast and helpful. Rooms were adequate. In terms of amenities, maybe hot water for tea in addition to coffee?

Definitely one of the cheapest places to stay in Mt Pleasant. It was ok clean, and ok quiet . The staff could be a little nicer. Overall , an average experience.

They lost reservations, Roaches in room, Floor wasnt swept, No towels or wash clothes, peeling paint, no cold water, And other family had poor air conditioning, Air was the only good thing about out room. Other family got rooms for cheaper with no reservations then ours was through orbitz. NOT HAPPY !!

We had a less than positive experience at this hotel. In a great area but quickly became sketchy at night with people coming and going and hanging out outside weirdly. There were also palmetto bugs in our room!

I think the location was great to get to the different water partks, museums, aquarium, entertainment, etc. The workers were very friendly and helpful in what they had to work with. Two things that would improve business is (1) improve the slow drains for the shower - the water drains so slow it's like taking a bath and shower at the same time and (2) the towels/washcloths were very nasty/limited. Although, I had to go to the receptionist to get more towels each day, she had to wash the towels and bring them to me. She was very kind, but some of them had some awful spots that didn't come out. I will have to remember to bring my on in the future......

It was close to downtown Charleston, that was the best thing, the room was dirty. Sheets had burn holes in them,stains on the floor and there was some weird looking substance on the bath mat(didn't use)there also wasn't an alarm clock or telephone in the room. I would not use these facilities again!!

This motel has a great location and is very reasonably priced; however, it is a bit dingy! The room is very basic and dark, but overall, it feels safe enough, and if you just need a reasonably priced, quick stopover location this is the place.
