Will stay at this hotel again.
We stayed at this particular hotel because it was close to the Lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. The first thing we noticed was that the hotel still looked and felt new. It has been there a few years and appears to be well maintained. The room looked clean, esp. the bathroom. The beds were v.comfortable. Breakfast was good and the dining area was clean and pleasant. Staff at the front desk and the dining area were attentive, polite and apparently well trained. The hotel is located near the 526 ramp and easy to find. Mt. Pleasant has plenty of restaurants and is fairly convenient to Charleston. We had a good experience overall and we plan to stay at this Courtyard by Marriott in the future.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
The annual Charleston Restaurant Association's Lowcountry Oyster Festival is for serious oyster and seafood lovers. It's well organized and a great place to bring the family. We come up every year from the Savannah area (last Sunday in January) and leave full of oysters, fresh air and vitamin D!

Great option for visitors to Charleston
Conveniently located, minutes from historic Charleston, but also lots of stuff around town. Great rooms, nicely maintained, and good service. Not one negative thing to say!

adequate for rest, but the people staying on the third floor must have been quite heavy or the structure was not too robust as you could clearly hear them walking around at night (our room was on the 2nd floor). the rooms were clean. the breakfast arrangements caught us by surprise as we were told that the buffet would cost $9.95 as we were about to take a seat at a table. it was not stated at the entrance to the dining area.

Really enjoyed this hotel!
After much thought about going away, we were very happy with this hotel and our choice. We were def on a budget but this hotel offered us everything we wanted. Close to the attractions and able to hang by a nice pool for a day. Staff was friendly and allowed early check-in. We would stay again.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Even though Mt. Pleasant is a drive to the main part of Charleston, we enjoyed staying in Mt. Pleasant. We were able to see another part, a little less crowded and expensive, and still felt like a part of the action.

Great price and service
Hotel was very clean and upscale. Our only complaint was that there was no microwave or blow dryer in the room. There was a mini fridge and coffee pot. The staff was very nice, and check in was no problem. Parking was also convenient. We would stay there again.

Lovely Hotel
This was a lovely hotel as far as Marriot Courtyards go. The location was very convenient to most points of interest in Charleston (within 15 min. drive). The room was large, VERY clean, modern, well ventilated, lots of towels and bath tissue and good brand of amenities. They also had extras in the closet. The beds were of the right firmness with lots of pillows which I prefer. The flat screen TV was sharp and the menu was very user friendly. There was the usual amenities like coffee pot, blow dryer and iron. The room also had a folder which outlined all of the hotel's guest services and free wireless internet, great for business travelers. There is a cool lounge area and bar in front of the lobby. The only negative was that we were given a room on the first floor right by the back door of the hotel. In the morning we decided to sleep in and this room location defeated that goal. Starting as early as 7 AM, there was constant traffic in and out of that back door. This continued until up to 10:30. Hence our goal of extra sleep was futile. The room itself did not have much noice control at all. We could hear the conversations of our neighbors that morning and constant walking above. A room on the top floor may solve most of these issues. Another plus for the hotel that turned out negatively for us is a great little snack area in the lobby off to the side near the entrance. It is 'unnoticeable.' We did not take note of it until leaving the hotel. The front desk staff should point this out to their guests upon check in. We needed snacks the night we checked in and did not know about this little jewel. I would certainly stay here again with a few preference changes noted.
