Historic downtown Charleston is only half a mile away by water taxi across the harbor or 10 minutes by trolley. Guests also hike a nearby nature trail.

Very nice hotel. Friendly and accomadating staff. One small problem in that the commode would not flush properly. Informed front desk to fixed.

Poor for international visitors

I am struggling to find something good about this hotel. I appreciate it is off season but really 1 There was no bar or restaurant open apart for limited opening at the weekend for the bar. 2 They would not cash my travellers cheques, indeed one of the receptionists had never seen one 3 The room was OK but I am not a fan of liquid soap and the TV reception was awful 4 Their newsletter advertises services it does not offer 5 I was charged $12 dollars a day for services I did not use or know about although I was only there for six full days etc

Our staycation

The stay was good because the parade of boats was going on. The Fish House was convenient but the hotel needs to have more access to food. We will stay there again.

Fall Break Getaway

My experience here was delightful! The staff was amazingly kind and helpful. I found the room to be a bit dated, but comfortable, and the food in the bar was delicious. The trolley service provided was incredible, and I loved the location. It's close to the water and other amenities in the area.

Use the trolley to go downtown. Ask locals where the good places are. Don't feel suckered into going to all the tourist traps.

Here for a wedding

I enjoyed this hotel. My only complaint was that my room was located right above the staff hangout. Every garbage that was dumped, I heard. Every conversation that took place, I heard. Granted I wasn't in my room a whole lot, but when I was I noticed this noise. I really like the pool area and the dock to go over to charleston! We had a fabulous wedding, and that made the entire trip wonderful!
