what a location

The villa was far nicer than we expected. The screened in porch was only about fifty yards from the ocean. It came with a full kitchen, which allowed us to make breakfast, which we then could eat on the porch in view of the beach. The area itself was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Value

The Wild Dunes hotel was simply great! The room on the 5th floor was large and clean with all the amenities that one would expect from a top dollar hotel. I would request a room with a view of the ocean/boardwalk if I did it again, but our room with a view of the parking lot was fine. The pools are all readily available and two of the four are heated. The restaurant was fine, the service very good the outdoor seating was excellent. The access to the beach was wonderful with a bar and snack bar and outdoor seating with a gorgeous view. The location is on the Isle of Palms, but our rental car allowed us to visit all the local Charleston sites within 30 minutes or less. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a shore resort with all facilities, but close to the historical areas.

Beautiful and Relaxing

Very Nice for the Price

The villa was very nice. There were two bedrooms and two full baths and a full kitchen. The balcony was huge with a nice view of the ocean. The community was very nice with lots of walking trails and other things to do. It was a short drive to a nice outdoor shopping center with restuarants and a movie theatre.

Nice Amenities by the Sea

The staff meets you trying to be of assistance. The check in experience was excellent and the room was nicer than expected. It overlooked the ocean, had a comfortable bed and very 2 people friendly, bath. The room also has wireless internet access and a flat screen TV. The resort offered many other amenities from beach chairs to bicycles. I would love to go back.

Excellent Staff Assistance

Wild Dunes has a great staff that went out of their way to help us during our stay there. My sister and I took my mother (age 90) for a couple of days to enjoy the beach and we had an occasional problem because of her age and mobility. Whenever we asked for directions or help we got it! The room was quite nice - roomy and cheerful. The bathroom was also spacious. I have traveled quite a bit and would definitely go back to Wild Dunes....we also observed many parents with young children staying there - it's good for all ages.

Great Location

My room was right on the water, bigger than expected with a second floor lookout balcony I was not expecting. The housekeeping service was very friendly and attentive. The facilities were very nice. 1 uninvited palmetto bug was my only complaint---but what do you expect at the beach.

There is dining at the resort, good restaurants a short distance away, and slightly further is everything in Charleston. Ohter than the resort and beach, most other attractions/shopping are accessible/close in Charleston.
