Ńutbuśh

This place is Ńutbuśh! Do not stay here. "Motorcycle not allowed in it." We looked through this site and their web site, too. There was no notification on either site that they don't allow motorcycles. For real? In 2012? We had to park off property, in the leper colony, and get a resort van to pick us up just to check into the hotel! And I had to tip for the privilege. Now, I'm not talking about a Hardley with no mufflers that's crazy loud, but a nice looking sport-tourer. At our age, we are most likely their prime target audience. When I questioned the staff, we were told their site had a notice on the checkout page. Great. If you are going to be that kind, put it on your home page, have a pair, don't hide it! Because of the delays getting checked in, we missed our Harbor dinner cruise and lost our money. The landscaping was nice.

Wonderful time - beach and pool were very convenient to condo. Would be perfect for a family getaway with small children! Only bad thing about the trip was finding a roach in the shower!

Southern hospitality and comfort to a "T". Everything was perfect although we felt the prices at the hotel for drinks and food were a bit high., but expected. Local restaurants were great and the beach was fantastic. Would go back without hesitation.

terrible reception manager

This is a nice hotel but the pools are nothing special. We were really annoyed by the person that checked us in. She talked to us in a "friendly" manner, but it felt like we were annoying her with our questions. Also, on the second day after we came back to our room at 4pm hoping to take a shower the room was not done yet. That day we had left the room at 9am and the housekeepers were working on our floor, so I am not sure why they did not do our room. When I called the receptionist they said they could send someone right away. We wanted to shower right away and did not want to wait while the room got cleaned so we just ask them to send right way some toiletries to the room, but this took 20 minutes. Simply not acceptable in my opinion. The valet guys were very friendly and get 5 starts for their service.

Girl's Getaway

This resort was great. We had a spacious 2 bedroom condo. My friend and I enjoyed walking the well manicured grounds. The spa experience was lovely and the staff were very knowledgeable. I would recommend this resort to people with families and of course a girls getaway.

bargain beach vacation

It was actually cheaper to stay at this deluxe beach resort than to stay in a decent hotel in downtown Charleston in January. It's only about 15-25 minutes away from anything in Charleston, and it was so relaxing to come home to the resort and the beach every night. I wasn't facing the beach in my room, but the view of the resort was still beautiful, and I could hear the ocean when I opened up my balcony door.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

At Sullivan's Island, next door to Isle of Palms, there is a Poe's Tavern (as in Edgar Allan Poe). Quirky menu and fun atmosphere, especially if you are a literary buff. Also try the fried green tomatoes and corn/bean succotash with crab cake at the Island Grille inside the Boardwalk Inn at the resort. Delicious! For cheaper fare, try Hudson's Market for lunches.

Will come back with friends

We like to be able to open a window. Else, it was just perfect. The concierge may have had a bad day, all other staff was very kind and helpful. We heard some other guests complaining about construction activities, but our room was very quite and recently renovated.

Wild Dunes Seascape Condo Room 115

The hotel atmosphere was fine; however, I did not realize that we were booking an individual's condo, and that was a problem since this particular unit was not updated, no internet, sketchy cell phone service, and many things in the condo were in disrepair. We thought we were booking through the hotel where things are normally updated.

Great Resort

Overall a great trip. Our only complaint is that this resort was quite a drive for our daily drive to town or to other sites in the area. Granted, the design of this facility is such that you should find everything you need on the the grounds. It was our fault entirely in not picking a place closer to our destination. All in all a great resort if you desire to stay on the premises the entire time.
