not good for the cost.
could use extensive updating.R oom had insects. I was moved to another room but it did not have the same amenities. I would not recommend it to a friend.

Great price! Good location
Went to a conference in HHI and this was the perfect hotel to spend the night. Room was very clean. Not a fancy hotel but did the job. The staff was also very good.

poor housekeeping dident even empty garbage cans or made bed. Overnight staff said i couldnt get coffeee until 6am

Rooms are dirty. Outside is dirty. Staff sometimes not on duty. Staff is as rude and obnoxious as I have ever seen. Maanger's answer to problems is "why don't you stay somewhere else." Good advice - skip this one and just stay somewhere else.

nothing special
staff was not very cooperative... first impression when pulling up- hotel is dirty and dingy, large parking lot completely empty on Masters weekend- as others must not have been impressed either

You get what you paid for...
This motel provides about what you would think it would for $50. The rooms were fairly clean. It was very quiet. The location is not great in that I was a little unsure how safe it is. There is no special amenities, no continental breakfast. Another traveler in my party had difficulties with their water pressure. While it is not extremely nice or have a special "it" factor, it was well worth the $50.

Best for the money
YOur rooms are clean, simple and user-friendly. Check-in was a breeze and the staff at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The reason that I could not give a highest score for the dining facillities was that there were none at our Red Roof Inn, but this was not a problem since there were many good restaurants close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at thr RRI, especially the fact that they had 3 HBO channels for evening viewiing and a WONDERFUL coffee machine that produced delicous special coffes.

Budget friendly - good location if you have a car
We were very pleased with the check in and out at the Red Roof Inn in Hilton Head SC. We stayed for 3 nights and the inn was located in a nice area. However, you will need a car to get around. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. They had a gourmet coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby and packaged muffins and danish. The ice machine area was clean and always had ice (and the hotel was full). We did not try out the pool as we drove to the ocean. There was a pancake house, bakery and convenience gas station in the parking lot with the hotel. Nice restaurants nearby. We would recommend to people who have a car and who are on a budget visiting Hilton Head.

The hotel was in a nice neighborhood -- fairly close to Shelter Cove (fireworks on Tuesday Evenings in the summer).
