Great price for the location
The hotel itself was fine/pretty average. The price was great for being so close to the ocean. Plus they are very pet friendly. My dog and I had a great beach trip!

Visiting relatives
This hotel and suites was an exceptional value. The room size was wonderful. They do not nickel and dime you for everything (ike the Charleston Place Hotel did later on our trip) Great continental breakfasts. Close to everything we needed. Highly recommend.

A few minor negatives
The only bad things I can say about our stay here is that the bathroom was a little small at the sink/counter and the only dresser to store folded clothes was in the tv stand, which was awkward.

Non-Pet "Friendly" ... Bad Customer Service
While it appears to be “pet friendly” … it is definitely not. We received 2 phone calls in our room when our yellow lab went out to the balcony alerting us “you better get your dog off the balcony because he’s barking at everyone” … Truth: he went out once, barked at someone who was saying hi to him. Went to dinner, got 3 missed calls that dogs were tearing up room and annoying guests…Truth: nothing was destroyed, no scratches, no barking (we even snuck back to the room to try to catch them). Not to mention the dinner ruined, they also threated to have us pay to relocate all guests on the floor at our expense (but I’m sure they’d change them too – the savvy business people they are) and when we said this is a very ‘non-friendly’ pet-friendly place, they graciously smiled and said, we’d love to check you out. We were at the hotel maybe 4 hours and they still tried to charge my card for the entire stay, the pet fees and it took almost a week to get in touch with the manager and even more to get the changes reversed. We ended up staying at Palmetto Bluff – VERY PET FRIENDLY!

Nice but overpriced.
Location is great. Beach isn't far. Shopping close same for restaurants. Maintenance on room could have been better. Lack of breakfast includes made this an expensive choice.

If you plan on going to the Salty Dog, go on Saturday. Everyone's checking out of rental homes so it's not very crowded.

[...] We had reserved and paid for two rooms. However, when we arrived they had only one room reserved. The desk manager told us there was nothing that could be done, and tossed the keys to one room at me. He had an explosive temper. I asked to talk to the manager in charge and he refused.

Hilton Head Vacationer
Top choice in Hilton Head off the beach
Top floor Queen lofts were more than hoped for. Full kitchen, with dishes and washing machine. Nice living room with 32" LCD TV. Second floor queen, with a second bathroom on the top floor.

Turn right out of the hotel entrance on 278, drive for about 10 minutes looking out for beach entrance roads on your right. These beaches are less crowded than the main beach entrance the hotel map points you to.
