Upgraded room said the man
When we checked in, the man behind the counter said he upgraded us from a one-bedroom to a two bedroom. okay we said, it sounded good. We were on the first floor and couldn't see much of the ocean. The place was very dated. appliances were ancient and we had to struggle to open the screen doors, which were broken. there wasn't a hairdryer. The layers of dust in the utility closet was scary and the dirt on top of the shelves above the washing machine indicated the place wasn't well kept, not to mention signs of mold forming on the ceiling above the master bathroom shower. I wouldn't recommend this place to family or friends, and I wouldn't stay there again.

We were confused at first and called to find out where we needed to check in, but then were able to just grab our keys and go to the room. The room itself was on the first floor, which we didn't want at first. We were actually pleased to be there because it had easy beach and pool access and had 2 bedrooms and stocked kitchen. It was a little old but clean and had a nice flat-screen TV. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms so we could spread out our things and were able to shower and get ready to go out at the same time. The beach was wide, clean and not too crowded in spite of the number of units We recommend the Island Bistro, especially for brunch, and New York Pizza, both within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised that the food prices weren't as high as we'd thought. The drive from Woodstock, Ga was 5 hours so we'd go again, to that condo, too. Thanks, Ted and Lydia

Loved the view
wonderful place to stay, right on the beach. Saw dolphins swim by from our balcony twice a day...found two live sand dollars - left on the beach.[...]didn't see the staff at the condo, so can't comment on how helpful, but the rental staff were very helpful

Short drive from hotel
take the comerical route (278) to find the shopping/resturants....it's a long route, but the shorter route collects 1.25 toll each time you cross the bridge.

Great Stay
We were there in Sept. 2010 and had a great stay. Very roomy condo, right on the beach. Had to call real estate office to send a plumber due to a stopped up toilet but they fixed it the same day. If we could have found the plunger we could have done it ourselves.

Suggestions for Improvements
Lack of elevator or luggage carts to assist in moving in & out presented much difficulty. The very musty aroma that greeted us as we entered the door & remained throughout our stay was very unpleasant. The bathroom vanity was disgusting; the entire facility was in need of update maintenance. The closet shelving was crammed full of housekeeping tools. the kitchen accomodations had no space for storing dry food items. Upon arriving the refrigerator was not working, not usuable until following day. The carpet throughout was extremely dirty. These accomodations do not compare to others we have used in the past due to the lack of maintenance. The feature we did appreciate was the beachfront & close proximity to shops & restaurants.

Perfect location, poor accommodations
This was the perfect ocean front location, very close to dining/shopping. Extremely convenient. We stayed on the beach during the day. Rented some chairs and an umbrella ($30). We ate in for breakfast and snacks. The kitchen was well supplied but did not have an oven. Washer/dryer was a plus. The only disappointment was the tacky "beachy" decor from 1970. The bed and fold out were flat and so were the pillows. Wall paper falling off, shag green carpet....no sense of luxury.

First time at Hilton Head Island
My fiancée and I traveled to Hilton Head Island for the first time in May 2010. All reservations were completed online and I was very nervous about what our stay would actually be like. But to our happy surprise the area and our Ocean Front Villa was what we had hoped for. The room was great for the price and was satisfied for the most part. Some minor maintenance was needed but nothing that wasn't overlooked. The Beach was great and neighboring Marriott Hotel was also nice to have there local. People were friendly and helpful. Places that we found to shop and spend a lot of our leisure time were at Harbor Island on South Beach. Great restaurants and amenities were everywhere. We look forward to returning again.

Misleading
[...] represent all of the properties through RH Realty but you won't necessarily get one of the nicer places. We ended up in a dump; however, the realty company was very responsive to our concerns and did move us into a much nicer room. We ended up staying at Seacrest which is gorgeous with great amenities.
