Anniversary night at the Poinsett

Check in was quick, one staff member was coughing uncontrollably and should not have been in that position that night. Concierge was not attentive or cordial. Hollered at passing staff upstairs who came down and gave a hug. Not asked if we needed or wanted assistance with our luggage. No real Southern hospitality displayed. The heavenly shower water temperature varied wildly from scalding to cold and constant adjusting

Best Hotel in Greenville

Wonderful hotel. It is gorgeous on the outside and on main street near the river. The beds are probably the most comfortable of any hotel. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there is no fridge and the movie selection on the tv was poor. I would not stay anywhere else after experiencing this hotel.

Great location, OK value

You can't beat the Westin location for convenience to downtown Greenville! Its interior was quite beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and accommodating. A parking garage is located right behind the hotel and you can park for $6/day, and conveniently use your room key to get in and out. There is no refrigerator in the room and the shower tended to be either scalding or lukewarm. Other than that, the stay was completely satisfactory. I also stayed at the Hyatt during this same trip, and found it to be a little more modern, the room a little bigger, and overall a little cheaper.

Beautiful Hotel!

Beautiful hotel, well-trained staff, and a perfect location. If you want to enjoy all the shopping and eating that downtown Greenville has to offer, you couldn't find a better location. When I needed to leave the hotel, the very charming and efficient valet parking guys were right there with my car. I returned late at night to find the driving court filled with people waving sparklers--Not for me, I was quick to discover, but for the newly-married couple exiting the other side. My only suggestion woudl be that my spacious room could use an ottoman.

You don't need to use your car, everything is a short walk away. I enjoyed Cafe D'Art right up the street.

Westin Poinsett was a treat.

We needed a quick getaway and the Poinsett was perfect. With the historical charm AND the modern rooms, it was a perfect mix. Our room was a large standard King with all the expected amentities and products. The staff was friendly and we particularly enjoyed having a drink in the bar complete with tuxedoed and talented pianist who played old standards with a new twist...reflective of the hotel itself. The location is walking distance to wonderful restaurants, bars and the theater. Wonderful experience and we will go back.

Great Hotel

We live only 30 minutes away from Greenville but we wanted a weekend away. We attending a rock concert at the Bilo-Center and was able to walk back to the hotel. Westin Poinsett is the most attractive hotel in downtown Greenville. The beds were really soft and fluffy! Thanks for a nice weekend!

Thermostat was broken so the room got over heated. Engineer stated that the thermostat needed replacing. Another engineer stated that's just how it is. The front desk argued with me and said that 81 degrees in the room was normal, even though I had the room set at 63.

Room was large and good. No in room fridge. Bathroom was OK but not the most modern. Breakfast was good. Location and parking is very good for down town.
