Restful stay
I had been to this motel for conferences prior to staying there. Everything was very comfortable and the room was very satisfactory. My only concerns were about the elevator which seemed a bit dated and did not always work properly the first try and the fact that the dining room was closed to staying guests two out of the three days of our stay.

Nice place to stay!
We stayed there after a late night Clemson football game (heading back to Charlotte). It was a last minute reservation so everything else was booked up or too expensive. We didn't have time for the fitness room or pool (I think they had a pool). The room was very nice and clean. I do recommend taking advantage of the pillow request service they offer -getting a pillow type of your choice- because the pillows in the room will leave you with a sore neck in the morning. The worst part of the stay for me was I HEARD everything going on with all the other guests -talking, door slamming, etc.-and it woke me up coninually throughout the night.

Well, its a decent place to stay after a Clemson game when all other hotel/motels in that area are full. It was RIGHT off the I-85 exit! HOWEVER, do NOT follow the mapquest directions (sent us to the right) or you'll never find it. Mapquest sent us in the opposite direction when it was to our left and right next to the exit!! Look around once you exit -you should see it clearly from the road!

Rooms not very nice, poor layout. Bar area had poor staff, not very friendly. Morning breakfeast, staff waiting on tables not very friendly. Cooking staff for breakfeast were nice.

Reserved a smoking room
Reserved a smoking room was told that those particular rooms are ALL non-smoking. [...] Hotel was full so could not get another room. Desk clerk was very nice & said we could use the room for smoking.

OK - FOR THE PRICE!
This hotel was used only to spend the night. The rooms were small. We were traveling with three children and the onsite restaurant offers no kids meals which was very disappointing. The hotel is not off the main road it is behind a gas station. The outdoor pool had broken lights which were hanging out of their structure which I am sure is not safe. The staff was very unfriendly. Anytime we had a question they were at the bar snacking.
